True, but as I recall, The Anime Network sometimes only makes 1 or 2 episodes of a series available for free and you have to pay if you want to see the rest. Since their episode list for Tamako Market currently does not say anything about the availability of future episodes, I'm not sure if all episodes in the series will be available for free. Unless they explicitly clarify this, I think I'd wait a few weeks to see if episode 3+ do come out for free and/or if it shows up on Hulu for free (but I think Hulu sometimes adds series kind of late, like 7-8 episodes in).

I clarified Tamako Market in this post.

I know what you mean. I usually watch almost all of the simulcasts here, and there are a lot again this season. I think I've got 38 in my queue, with AKB0048: next season and Da Capo III not included because I haven't seen the previous seasons of them (I did catch up on Student Council's Discretion though, so that season 2 is in my queue). What helps a bit this time around is the number of them that are short duration -- there are 8 series with episodes of ~5 minutes or less, and gdgd Fairies is in the 15 minute area. That puts the number of half hour duration series at about 30, which I think is what I was watching in the fall. Still, it can be tough to keep up with all the anime Crunchyroll gets -- I often find myself playing catch-up when I can't watch all of a day's shows during that day.

Thanks for the info. I haven't read all the posts here, and I missed that one. I guess I won't be watching that series on The Anime Network then, or their other one if it's the same way. I guess it's a good thing that Crunchyroll gets so many series -- with how much there is to watch here, I generally won't miss a few series that are streamed elsewhere.

Seriously release episodes/seasons in order please!

There is only one season of Little Busters! and Crunchyroll has it now. Yes, they won't have the 1st cour for a little while(I imagine that Crunchyroll will make those episodes available when they can) but it is a simulcast of the series. Just for future reference, Little Busters! is 2-cours and is 1 season(Who knows if there will be a 2nd season sequel?)

I've searched high and low and asked around and can find no evidence of the "2 cours = one season" claim. In Japan there is no "off season" in television (no summer or holiday season reruns). So a cour IS a season. What you're calling a sequel in Japan is actually considered a totally separate series, not really a second season, and is marketed as such (they give it a new name and re-start the episode count back to one....etc...).

I never said that 1 season=2 cours. In fact, I believe I had said that season is so ambiguous with anime that a season could be 1cour. Or as much as 4 cours.

http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=94119

Cour is a much better way of referring to show length than 'seasons' (horribly vague, can often mean 13 eps or 52 eps or more and gets mixed up with the calendar seasons) and much simpler than an exact number of episodes (damn, I forget, was that show 12 or 13? Well, just call it one cour.).

I prefer to use "season" to refer to an independent unit of an anime production.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TwelveEpisodeAnime

The approximately twelve-episode format is also commonly called '1-cour' which is shorter than 'Twelve-Episode Anime' and less ambiguous than a 'season', which are usually used for instalments in the series. Likewise, a standard 24-26 episode run would be '2-cour' and so on.

Those are two examples of where it is preferred by many anime fans to say the length of a series in cours rather than "seasons". Since there are no breaks in Little Busters! episodic run, I prefer to call it a 2-cours anime rather than say that it has two seasons.

When I saw that they're putting in Little Busters, my jaw dropped. Thank you so much for that!! It's really hard to find a website that is either A) legal or able to run smoothly. So I've had a tough time trying to keep up with that series.

It is in the "Continuing Simulcast Titles" of the lineup page (1st column, 4th row).

It is also listed in the "Continuing Titles:" list in the first message of this topic (6th from the bottom, between Blast of Tempest and Cardfight!! Vanguard: Asia Circuit).

Sentai licensed it, and it will be streaming on The Anime Network.

I hope soon. Then I can completely abandon Hulu ^_^

You paying for the service? We still going to slap you with commercials.

You want to watch more that 3hr a week? We are going to have to increase how much we spam you with commercials (at one point, I was getting 2min commercial breaks [4min if you included load time] about 3 or 4 times in a 24min anime episode)

You want to pause, rewind, fast forward, or exit the show? We will process that in about a min or so (I am not exaggerating; the lag can be that brutal on a regular basis).

When I was trialing Hulu Plus, I quit watching on my Roku specifically for that reason. I also had my Roku lock up a few times when I tried to rewind or fast forward in the Hulu Plus app, which made me rather hesitant to do so. No such issues when viewing via the browser.

LOL - actually you DID say that, or rather you said "2 cours and is 1 season" (look above in bold), and went on to infer that a season is defined as "an independent unit of anime production" - which it is not. That is a "television series", and another production (sequel) would be another "series".

Yes the term "season" can be ambiguous, but not just in anime. The exact meaning of the term differs from country to country, and even among networks within the same country. Here in the states a season of programming at one of the major broadcast networks and a season on one of the cable networks like HBO mean different things.

What I'm saying is that since the Japanese divide their seasons into "Kuru" or "cours" and since this is how they order and plan their series, for all intensive/practical purposes, a cour can best and more accurately be translated as meaning a season. That is the term season as we understand and use the term in the West in the broadcast industry context. This is how Crunchyroll markets their programming (4 seasons a year and are referred to as seasons) and is more correct than simply going by breaks in a run.
