I've seen much of the older selection, and the animes of the season have given me a seemingly sub-par impression save a few. Aside from the current selection, I love crunchyroll so canceling it would be a tough thing to do for me. It just feel like I haven't been getting my anime fix in the last month.

Give me multiple reasons as to why I should keep my Crunchyroll subscription.

While Funimation does have a huge collection of titles, their player is terrible in comparison to Crunchyroll's; it's really faulty from the feedback I've heard. Crunchyroll is your best option if you wish to follow currently airing anime but Funimation has a bigger catalog from what I remember. I'm not sure if Funimation has a free trial but you can check to see if it better for your anime viewing.

@Crusnik404

AsuraCrying is right on the video player and also why can't you use both sites for one and two there are not many animes worth watching on funi but you could also use netflix if you want anime from funi. besides netflix is better and abit cheaper i think?

I haven't watched anything on Funimation's website so I can't comment on that. But I have been to there website many times and for me it's quite slow. Personally I like using CR mostly because of the new Xbox app, I don't really like watching shows on my computer if I don't have to.

I have both. (FU)nimation's website is horrendous, however their Roku app is far better... not perfect, but still better.

Usually, I'd be devoted to disagreeing with you, but on this, I agree. Funimation's service isn't the best. It is clear from their website that they lack a few things that Crunchyroll does correctly (main gripe with them is the lack of an "anime community" as active and visible as CR).

Funimation might be high in its business at the moment, but crunchyroll is something much better, when it will kick into high gear like funimation, then I won't be surprised if crunchyroll took over the lead.

I would say: Stick with crunchyroll, it will become something huge in the future:)

I don't subscribe to Funimation, but I don't even visit the site anymore, soon as I found all the anime I was watch, was also on hulu, I went over there. As others have said, the player sucks and the site is slow, I can deal with the commercials and such from hulu.

I registered to Funi under my real age and get restricted from lots of 17+ shows. That's something to be aware of.

Can't give you multiple reasons ~ if I was in the situation where pickings at Crunchyroll were too slim, and had a monthly / quarterly subscription, I'd switch to Funimation for the Winter season, catch up on their back catalog on my Roku, then switch back to Crunchyroll in Spring, which is normally the second strongest broadcast season ~ and since Crunchyroll often does better licensing Spring shows than Fall shows, often Crunchyroll's best season.

Funimation doesn't have enough stuff on for me to stay signed on, but I'm planning to sub for March to catch up on their simulcasts and catch some more of their back catalog.

I'll note that last time I had the elite subscription, I only watched series on the Funimation site if there was a glitch for that episode playing on the Roku. Except for the occasional episode that has some glitch, the Funimation Roku channel is much less of a PITA than the website.

You could try other legal sites, like theanimenetwork.com or Hulu.com.

I found this, it may be useful to you.

I have both Funimation and CR and to be honest... I haven't logged my Funimation for about 2 months...
I joined Funimation first before knowing about CR, But moved here because these problems started to happen.
I'm sick of the website being down, Somedays you just cant get on it. Their streaming is horrible...
Some days their videos freeze just about every 5 mins... But they do offer a 2 week free trial
They Do have alot of good anime selections, Plus they have dubbed episodes for when i'm being lazy
and dont feel like reading. I keep my Subs with them just incase the website does get alot better, back
when i first joined it they had no problems and watching air gear, Heavens lost property, sekirei, and baka and test
over and over again lol.

So I stay on CR watching what they offer, and lately they've been getting alot more titles added to thier page.
They cant get them all but we can hope for the best.

I won't go to Funimation if the anime is available on CR or Hulu.
Just checked out Funi's website and it looks like they may have updated it and made it more streamlined and easier to navigate than the last time I visited it. But I do remember having problems with video player lag in the past, so I just steer clear. Maybe I will give them another chance when I am bored one day (lol).

I live in Canada so I change my router settings to get American netflix. Got to say way better selection. Canadian has a few different things like UFC which is nice to have

Funimation's titles and CR's are really different so its in your best interest to get both. Usually CR gets most of the stuff I like to watch that streams but occasionally Funimation will grab good stuff like Psycho-Pass and Binbougami ga.
