My late brother's Nintendo system. My second brother and cousin messed it up so badly it doesn't play anymore, but we still hold onto to it since there's not many Nintendo systems anymore and it belonged to my bro.

Some people are hoarders. I like cardboard boxes for storage purposes.

I have this origami swan that is old and not in the greatest condition anymore and i cannot throw it away. It still looks decent. It means so much to me that i cannot possiably throw it away. I got it from this AWESOME girl i met. I had sooo much fun hanging out with her for that 1 year but it was the best year i ever had because of her. Now everytime i look at it i remember her and all the fun times we shared.

An old friend of mine drew a smiley face on this red sticky note and stuck it on my closet door five years ago.

To this day, it remains untouched.

I've got a bottle of ChocoVine wine that my #2 best friend gave me when I moved into my current place with my housemate. That was several years ago and there's still barely a quarter of it drank. You can be forgiven for having never had ChocoVine because it's not exactly common or well known. There's a reason for that. It's an $8 bottle of wine that tastes like cough syrup and leaves an awful aftertaste.

Despite the fact that it's terrible i've kept it because it feels like it'd be wrong to throw away a gift and if nothing else it's an interesting conversation piece.

I have an old trapper and binder from school that I won't throw away. A school friend of mine wrote a tribute to her dead best friend on them so it seems wrong to throw them out. Even though I'm not friends with her anymore.

^ LOL. Good one, Thrashbar!

Used to save all the friend and love letters from relationships past. Now that I'm happily married I converted these post reminders from paper form to a gaseous state (conversion of mass). The memories that mattered are still stored in my head; the remainder are gone forever to protect the innocent.

Basement is full of stuff. 95% is mine. When we moved here United Van Lines weighed the mass at approximately 28K lbs. With the exception of the 2 vehicles not hauled we only need 5 K lbs of household items. My wife worries I'll die first. Silly woman doesn't realize she'll have the largest and best 1/64 scale diecast semi-truck collection in the county as well as enough stripped PCC streetcar parts (roll sign holders, destination signs dating back to the early '40's, farebox, trolley bells, headlights, MG set, brass trolley wheels, carbon shoes, builders plates), switch keys, turn of the century railroad franks (aka passes), books, 300 Logan boxes of 35mm original color slides of trains and streetcars, bus memorabilia to franchise a transit museum.

Oh, yeah, don't forget all this anime and the respective figurines. We have no heirs to hand it down to and 12/21/2012 sure didn't resolve anything. Sheeeeeesh, the task of redistributing those years of accumulating before I get senile is daunting. I'm celebrating year 7 and counting downsizing.

This spring I plan to paint on the roof in large white letters the word "HERE" so tornadoes know where to strike next. Ebay just isn't up to the task.

My chuck norris shirt that says '' the boogey man checks his closet for chuck norris'' and it has a picture of norris looking through a crack in a door.

My hulk jean shorts. Ive worked fences with them for so long that theres rips and holse all through them.

My boxing bag. Theres holes and cracks in the leather all through it. That and it gets frozen in the winter and really hard so theres blood all over it.

high leg boots that lace up. the inside is falling out, theres a loose peice of plastic that cuts my heel, the steel in the toe is falling off, theres holes in the bottom from walking on boards with nails. theres paint, calk, glue, stucko, stain and animal blood all over them.

Aside from 3 stuffed animals, I don't really have anything that I couldn't part with. I'm really not much of a hoarder.

Edit: Oh, and a few books from my childhood. The Hobbit, the first few Harry Potter books that I originally received as gifts, Cardcaptor Sakura (my first manga)... hmm, a few more.
