For the most part it is just like the first 3.5 episodes of course but I enjoy looking for telling differences. In the manga, only Akane has a naked weapon, 'naked rang'. 'Naked impact' is 'vivid impact' instead, so is 'vivid blade'. Makes me wonder which was first and which they changed. Offers a bit more backstory than the official web page as well. Nothing earth shattering but interesting. They didn't show how many feathers Rei has left. Four I assume.

I was an episode behind because I was internet-less for a week, Latest episode was a bit of a nail-biter, and I loved Aoi's semi-combined form with the boomerang jet pack. Brilliant. :) And that is most interesting Hpulley! Naming the weapons and operations Vivid instead of Naked makes more sense considering the name of the series itself.

Maou068 19325 cr points Send Message: M / Crapsack World Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 3/3/13 Vividred Operation seems like a weird blend of Nanoha (magitek and that stuffed weasel), Evangelion (Alone attacks a certain target for unknown reason, and again, it's in Tokyo), Strike Witches (bloomer flashing and yuri subtext) and super sentai (Rei is the obvious 5th band member). Although the story seems generic, I'm pretty much interested more about the technology in this show.

So much packed into one show! This and last week are saving the show for me after a couple of weak middle episodes. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Hamawari modelling, protection by Wakaba, factory tour drama and humor, the hair clasps, Alone orbital attack, Vivid Blue Vivid impact, Naked Collider and Blade, Rei still has four feathers. I think I goofed earlier when I said Naked Impact is Vivid Impact in the manga. I think it is Naked when alone ad Vivid when docked. In the manga we only see the docked versions.
