Kotoura-San Discussions

I think his comment is influenced by the fact that he is in Norway and cannot watch it on CR... as someone noted to me in a message. |

Kotoura-san definitely caught my attention. I'm actually really excited for the next episode.

Click to show or hide Manabe's introduction and relationship with Kotoura seemed pretty rushed. In the manga, Manabe was introduced as having some pretty serious trust issues, and Kotoura coming in and telling him that nobody's really trying to deceive him as their first meeting, setting them up more as foils for each other than just Manabe swooping in. And after that their relationship started off a lot rockier than it did in the anime. But really, that's pretty mild compared to the issues most series have with their first episodes, so I'm definitely going to keep watching. Is the manga available online somewhere? I'd kinda like to read it! Like a lot of you guys I didn't expect a whole lot when I watched this first ep, but it has me interested. I'll keep watching this one. |

No Sailor Moon this summer? Boo.

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide excluding the super sad op It's got good impact, nice and cute characters and decent story line soo Far better than most of 2013 anime |

Yes i am a boring a person

This definitively at the top of my watch list. It was different to see the sad back-story at the beginning of the ep instead of through a flash back, but I hope this means there will be more comedy and less tragedy to come. Can't wait for next week.

It was freely and legally available online (in Japanese) from the publisher, but they took down all but about ten of the most recent chapters, presumably because they want to capitalize on the anime to sell volumes. Which is understandable, because I don't think they make any money at all off of the free downloads. I haven't seen any scanlations or anything, but I haven't been looking very hard. But it's still kinda frustrating because I had only managed to read about a dozen pages with my Japanese skills. But I'll say this though, the manga did not start off the same way as the anime did. There are things you just don't work in a four-panel comic. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Punchline Time: your parents left you! Although there were some parts of the anime after Kotoura transferred in that were used a jokes in the manga, but not in the anime. Context is a bitch. |

I wasnt expecting such a strong solid, emotional episode. It balanced the dark sad side with a more cheerful second half. I really liked this n.n

I probably wouldn't even have made it that far through the original Japanese. I can only slowly and painfully sound out words, and that is only if there are furigana. It was a 4 panel comic? Interesting, I wouldn't have thought so. Makes sense on the publisher's part that they took it down. Hopefully someone will scanlate it if the show is popular enough. Or better yet, someone will license it. |

Episode 2 ![]() Seems like there's someone else who's also interested in this whole ESP thing. Otherwise, I'm glad that red haired bitch got told this episode in the latter half. I'm not sure how honest that confession is but I think Manabe did the right thing. Otherwise, I enjoyed this episode. |

Well they are working with a 12 episode frame, not a whole lot you can do in that time for a RomCom.

Pump it up!

Episode 2 Review
I thought it was pretty great, as I thought there would be more comedy outweighing the drama and back stories. I'm glad this series is showing the mixture of those genre's all in one show with all those surprises. Check out my review if you'd like? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSsliP3_3W4 |

Really great mix of emotionally charged story and comedy. Definitely the star of 2013 for me so far.
