I think if anyone likes the sports genre in anime, they will really like this as it seems (at least to me anyway, but I think most posters here will agree), that there's great character development, beautiful music and the drama during the tournament games can be quite intense. And actually, no, I'm not a shounen jump reader.

I always thought we just read/watch what's good/available to us in English regardless of the specific magazine it comes from. But anyways Chihayafuru is the best thing I have seen on Crunchryroll. I'm a little worried that I haven't heard talk of licensing it for NA. I really hope NISA can get their hands on it. I can see it now, a typical NISA premium edition art box with Chihayafuru on it...beautiful!
