So the anime forums can still have like 12 SAO threads but Chihayafuru isn't even allowed to have one? What the hell is going on here? :P

Somebody should just make a new thread, it was a pain in the ass to find this one.

This thread was in the Anime forum.. some mod inexplicably moved it and I am trying to have it moved back since it wasn't supposed to be moved in the first place... I put a request in so hopefully it will be taken care of soon.

It looks like whoever is doing this is pulling all the Chihaya threads into one forum:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumcategory-533432/chihayafuru

I really dislike this since we'll end up with a lot of people mixing the manga and anime discussions together. Some of us aren't reading the manga and don't want the anime spoiled.

*sigh*

And it seems ridiculous that they'll do this with only Chihaya but not any of the other anime series. We have to be inundated with SAO threads in the Anime forum, but Chihaya gets moved???

*sigh*

Anyway, that's enough complaining from me.

Personally, the card game grows on you. And it's compared to "Hikaru no go" because they are both, technically, sports anime.

Anyway, I'd say you quit too soon. You should generally give a show 3 episodes to truly see what it is like. Even still, it may not be for you.

I didn't expect to like it, but it grows on you after a few episodes. Once you start getting some character development mixed in it is very enjoyable.

The first couple of episodes are not very good (the past ones) they are all about setting up the backstory, it gets interesting around 3 in

You need to give this show at least 3-4 episodes to get going. You will be hooked by then, I was and wish I had given it a chance earlier though at least it meant I got to marathon it instead of waiting each week.

i will try again, hopefully i like it. This would make it all the better because i'd have season 1 to watch, something that could keep me occupied.

As someone who loves Hikaru no Go (it's prolly in my top 3 of fave animes), I think it's pretty close to being as good, though not quite, at least not yet anyway. I think the intensity and atmosphere of some of the Hikaru no Go battles are still on a higher level. But yeah, like a few people have said, 1 episode really isn't enough to get a good feel for this show. I'd give it another 5 eps or so and see if it can start to grab your interest.

I'm glad I didn't give it a chance until it finished, lol. I always prefer to marathon good series (although I've made an exception for a few shows this season), as the week-by-week wait can really be tough sometimes.

That's cool I know the first 3 episodes of Season 1 follow the story when they were kids and starting in Episode 4 it goes to present day and stays there. I love how this is more of character development than actual game story. Just a different focus. I love it personally :D
