That was a properly done OVA. It really makes me want Diomedea to do a season 2 as soon as possible.

yea, I agree, but it would be nice if I could read them as well. would also be awesome to be able to understand what's going on in anime without the subtitles being in the way. and in some cases, I'd be able to watch the episodes a lot sooner.

Knowing the original, actual dialogue is nice too. By necessity translators need to use a fairly liberal version so it is acceptable, makes sense and often they need to change things beyond what I like.

Keep at it! For me, having a reason to learn it is the key. Even now, I learn vocabulary best by reading and listening and discovering new words. Though a friend told me the other day that I had picked up too much slang from anime and novels... I am speaking Japanese like a high schooler which is good except on business calls Then I need to remember the polite business Japanese I was first taught...

Lol who doesn't?
Got hooked on from first ep and spent the night finishing it, along with the OVA.
Kudos to this anime.

It was released with novel volume 8 in Japan on July 21st. I have my copy and enjoyed it. Not really supposed to be online anywhere...

The anime is not bad, good animation, interesting story and ok characters but still...I can't help but feel like something is missing, sincerely, none of the characters is interesting for me...I watch the anime with no feelings and that's why I'll drop it. (I watched 4 episodes)

So three questions. The Novels aren't available in English I assume after as much looking as I have done, is that correct? With the Manga what is the difference between the original title and Mondaiji-Z? Finally are the mangas available in an official english version somewhere somehow?

From what I remember hearing, that was a standalone episode, and didn't really have any connection to the TV series.

From what I can find, neither the light novels nor any manga adaptations have been licensed for North America. Based on the title alone, I'd guess Mondaiji-Z is a gag comic incorporating (more) giant robots into the same general setup.

Yen Press recently licensed the Sword Art Online and Accel World novels, so they're probably the most likely to take a chance on Mondaiji if those two titles do well for them. I don't think it'll have too much of a chance until the show gets licensed, dubbed, and a physical release.

Well the purpose of this anime, at least from what I can tell. Is to essentially have three, super powered, badass kids break the normal fundamentals of a world that seemed to be doused in corruption. There are episodes that require some thoughts but for the most part it's literally just a show to watch for the epicness. Random, yet awesome moments. It's a simple concept that works very well.

Least in my eyes.
