Cant say that i have ever been bullied by a teacher.

However i had my high school football coach as a teacher and man was he cruel.

Either way to err is human, I am sorry you have/had to deal with that.

Nope. I deserved every detention I got... either forgot my homework, didn't do them, misbehaving or coming late to class.

It was really stupid, if you were late 3 times, you have to stay back for after school detention for 1 hour. Even the punishment didn't make me more punctual. I'm only punctual for events that I consider are important, like an exam or a job interview.

I was the same as you in elementary school, except I didn't misbehave. Punishment was facing a brick wall for the entirety of recess. No problem, since at that time I lived mostly in my head anyway with my vast imagination. I was the kid who stared out the window and daydreamed during class.

I got picked on by a teacher couple times. She actually grabbed my tie the one day and strangled me with it but it was momentary and I don't know the intent behind it. She's my least favorite teacher to this day though.

Yeah, by my piano teacher. The guy obviously had anger management issues, telling me I was stupid, breaking pencils and all that. It made me lose my interest on playing and I dreaded attending the lessons. On the day before I finally progress to grade 2, I decided to ditch the lessons for good. Since I was a secretive child I didn't tell my dad that my teacher was a complete asshole. He scolded me telling me I wasted resources. He never allowed me to take lessons anymore.

I regained my interest after a few years and studied on my own. Now I can play pretty advanced pieces but I don't know if I'm playing 'em right. Sometimes, I wonder what would have happened if I had a different teacher. -_-

eh sorta, but it's more of a matter of opinion.

I used to get picked on by my ICT teacher in primary school because I was really quiet. She'd always pick me to answer questions just because I was shy & used to hide.

tbh, I still think she was just being an asshole because she used to laugh at me n start grinning if I got the answer wrong.

Once my class ended up with a "boy" (22 years old) as a teacher. We were all maybe 18 years old. I am pretty good at sports. I play volleyball, tennis, do yoga etc.
Once, I got a canon ball thrown hard in my face (accident), and I fell right back and fainted. This young teacher didn't care of course. I got back up and into the game in just a few minutes. I wanted a good grade, and I was so proud of myself for not skipping any of gym classes.

In the end of the year he gave me one grade above failing because he didn't think I looked sporty. A girl who had not even been in gym class got 3/6, and a girl that only had been there a few times got 5/6 because she was in a volleyball team on her free time.

I was not pretty and sporty enough. I don't know if this is "bullying" but it sure is lack of respect for other people. I did my very best that year.

I took biochemistry as an elective and had been looking forward to it for years. The professor had some mysterious grudge against me and for the first six weeks of classes would shout at me and call me stupid. He kicked me out of his office hours saying that he couldn't be bothered with me. If I asked any questions he would refuse to answer, telling me that I was too stupid and needed to retake organic chemistry. I started having the students sitting on either side of me ask my questions for me so that I could get an answer, and I tape recorded the lectures for evidence against him if he used my grade to punish me. I was taking the class to learn the material, so I was willing to tolerate verbal abuse as long as it didn't interfere with my academics.

After the first exam he realized I'm not as stupid as he thought and stopped bullying me, but kept refusing to answer my questions on the grounds that I was jumping ahead of the topic and he would get to it in a day or two. I got 96% in the class. A year later I was teaching in the same department and he was always very friendly and polite. Go figure.
