Look at the way Wisconsin teachers behaved when they occupied the Capitol. They can get very aggressive and then hide behind the union.

Yeah back in high school junior year, I had an old cruel lady as a teacher. I felt like the teacher had personal issues, because everyday should would come into class angry as hell. She would call on students randomly and ignore the people with their hands up, and if they got a question wrong they were unprepared for the day. I remember once, she asked me to name the shuttle that just landed on the moon I believe (current events), and i was like "how the hell am I suppose to know?" and she gave me a unprepared for not keeping up with the useless information I did not give a crap about at the time.

She would always choose on this student who had a thick accent to read text and would always yell at him, saying he didn't know how to read. She once got in my face and claimed I did not know how to take notes, and ripped up the looseleaf out of my binder 3 times in a row with such force that she left marks in my binder lol . . . , meanwhile each time I writing down exactly what she was saying/writing on the board.

She was a cruel woman. She once made a girl cry because she did bad on a homework, saying she should consider other options in life because college isn't for everyone, I was like "wtf? should a teacher be saying this?" But yeah. Every year so many people would try transferring out of her class it was ridiculous. I heard a student even sought legal action against her towards the end of my school year, and eventually she got demoted to a subsitute teacher because many students complained with their parents. She was hated so much she had a hate group on FaceBook whose goal was to get her fired. Without a doubt she was the worst teacher I've ever had, and one of the cruelest persons I've met, but because of her every other teacher I've had since seemed like breeze. Everytime I get a professor I don't like that much, I just think "hey? at least they won't be as bad as Ms. X"

If you call bullying calling me names and making fun of me, then yes I have been bullied by a teacher before. However, that's just his personality and he would do that with all the students so it wasn't anything specific against me and now he is one of my favorite teachers

Oh YES.

My ballet teacher - after I was her favorite student for 4 solid years and her star pupil, in my 5th year treated me like vermin for no rhyme or reason. She was SO mean, and so condescending; verbally abusive as well. She would put me down in front of the entire class(es) when I made a mistake, and insult me and belittle me. She would ask me to leave the studio again and again over the smallest things - yet, would let the other students pass by without trouble.

The only thing I could think that made her hate me was the fact that I had won a scholarship for a summer dance program/school, the same one she was hoping to get into as a prime dancer. The fact that I did it without a proper audition seemed to rile her, and she treated me really badly for the final year.

After my 5th year, the dance studio closed down, and by the grapevine some years later I heard that my mean teacher had had something to do with the closing of the school. Later on, I heard that she had been sent to jail over money business.

Karma is such a b*tch, isn't it.

My mums a professor so I can't....say..much.

I do end up hearing a LOT of horror stories about other teachers on campus.
I know of multiple teachers that take PRIDE in never having a student get an A. They purposely grade year 1-2 students harder than they need to, just to make sure they don't get the best grades (they could and should be getting.)
I had one of those teachers..as an English teacher who made up this bullcrap rule about one paper being worth 30% of the grade and if you messed up ANY part of the bibliography...like even capitalization and punctuation, you automatically got a 0 on the paper.

I had another science teacher, waaaay back when, who...well, I was at the age where even if I knew the answers..I never gave them and never did the homework? But one day she said something really wrong, and I just blurted out something to correct her..so she somehow she picked up on that fact that I knew more than my..F's and D's would let on. ...and started to do one of those 'HOW DO I REACH THESE KIDS' kinda stand. So she'd call on me all the fracking time, like. daily. sometimes multiple times a day. She wouldn't let if go if I said 'I don't know'.
(I want to appreciate the fact she was trying to...'get me to live up to my potential', or some BS like that. But she never once asked about why I wasn't trying harder in school..or anything about my home life..or..anything. She just wanted to see my grades go up, and in the end just made it more stressful.)

I had the privilege to experience a teacher that subjected everyone to her atrocious nature. Verbally abusive and the epitome of a vile thing undeserving of being called a human. Parents and students complained alike, a student petition was presented to the school administration and superintendent with complimentary legal action for her removal. A student had recorded evidence of the verbal pandaemonium which the school dismissed as a violation of teacher privacy and confidence, and that student's action was in violation of school code and ethics bull$h*t, ended with him getting transferred and the teacher given a slap on the wrist, just so the school can keep a reputable facade. Nothing changed and whoever had her class just tolerated it, almost everyone decided to fail the class as an act of defiance or wrote bull$h*t addressed to her on tests, some went as far as to write detailed narratives and descriptions of torture that resulted in suspensions. The school happened to know (or rather a traitor reported) that my family kept arms in the house, that landed me on a "watch list" with a sit down interrogation with my counselor asking my experiences in her class. Purged everyone on Facebook friends list afterwards to start anew. To get under her skin we also spoke loud enough for her to hear our voiced opinions. At the semester's end some of the more angry and extreme elements took action vandalizing her car by dumping some quick drying cement on her car rooftop, smashing the windshields, deflating the tires. Those boys and girls are unknown heroes.

That sucks man. Family members should not be teachers. That is what I learned.

I never been bullied by teachers. I was always the only one who talked to them like I was a grown up. That resulted in distance between me and the other pupils of course. Not good that either.

my first grade teacher was a bitch. I was scared of her. once she called my up to the board and I didn't know the answer. so she called another student up, so I thought that student was going to do my equation. so I started to walk off, but the teacher grabbed the collar of my shirt from the back, picked me up by the collar and put me in front of the board again.

up to this day I don't know how she picked me up by the collar of my shirt. I felt like a puppy being picked up by its' mother, but this woman wasn't my mother and she wasn't trying to keep my from harm.
