Red lip stick

I think red lipstick tends to look too... hm... overdramatic? unless it's paired with formalwear. I don't know, for some reason I just have trouble seeing it as a casual thing.

Same for red nail varnish and most gaudy and bright colours, but especially red. thepeaguy wrote: There's a theory that the colour of your favourite lipstick is to do with the colour of your female gentials. Why would there be a Theory on Lipstick? You're thinking of the natural inclination that a womans lips is a visual proxy to her vagina, and represents their look, colouration and health. That would be the theory that women first started wearing lipstick because it makes your lips look more like the lips of a sexually aroused vulva. Look it up, it's a real theory. I shall, I still hate lipstick though. |

I think it depends on the person's skin tone, other makeup and outfit. Like, you can't just wear it whenever you want, it has to match or it makes too much of a contrast. I'll admit that I wear it occasionally, but only if it goes with my outfit. I'm not a big makeup person anyway, unless I'm going out to a nice restaurant or a party of some sort and my roommate makes me. (She's good at making it look nice though.)
On another note, Martha Costello (Maxine Peake) Totally rocks it. And let's not forget my woman, Natalie Dormer. (She can do no wrong as far as fashion is concerned in my mind.) ![]() |

Red can be tricky. Just because it looks good on someone else, doesn't mean it'll look good on you. It should always match your skin tone. Darker reds or reds with blue undertones tend to look better on me.

Red lip is hard to pull off.
But if you play it right any girl can pull it. Btw: Taylor Swift is a man user. |

Red lipstick looks really good on some people, but personally, I was always taught that if you're wearing makeup correctly then you can't tell it's there.

Depends on the person that's wearing it and how they pull it off

It depends on the woman, but most women can rock red lipstick if they choose the right shade that suits their skin tone. Paler skin, use a red with a purple or blueish undertone. Darker skin, use a red with a golden or orange undertone. Olive skinned or neutral-toned, you can usually wear both. It's really a matter of taste & if you feel comfortable with it.

Hey, guys! I feel like this thread is the perfect opportunity to point out that girls kiss me! I'll make sure to do it in a very subtle manner, as to not seem like a pretentious jerk off.
And Joker pulls of the red lipstick better than anyone. |
