Can't say I understand why seemingly so many didn't like Border 3, I personally rather liked it. Instead of swimming in familiar water (heh), Border 3 explores unknown depths in the characters and reveals more to their personality.

It's been a while since I watched the others, but IIRC Border 2 was actually kind of disappointing. I thought Border 3 had a depth and intrigue that made it one of the better ones, especially now that all the characters' designs have been well established and accepted.

Was refreshing to see Togusa again and I like how they had some focus on how he looks at things with different eyes (both literally and metaphorically). When he told Mokoto about the newborn baby, her baffled face was quite amusing - even more so since he left her hanging dry. :')

Mokoto's lover actually reminded me of a little of Hideo Kuze, for some reason I can't quite put my finger on.

I thought I watched this before. Didn't they make a GiTS movie called Arise?

Are they making it a series now?

Finished watching the fourth and final film...

Just some brief thoughts:

Well, that quickly turned into a massacre...

Looks like there's a pretty skilled hacker capable of even interfering with Major this episode. Interesting. Tbh, this movie had a good momentum going but my interest in the overall story wasn't that high. From my understanding, Emma Tsud was supposed to be Makoto's successor. And not only that, there's also the scarecrow man identified as the other ghost. Characterization was fairly weak and given the length of the film, there was barely any time for development. Sigh. 6/10 and that's generous.

OST and action was decent at least. Some of the small talk like the ones at the end had some humor I guess. I'll look forward to the new movie though.

I'm not familiar with the Ghost in the Shell series ,but I did watch it when it was on (Adult Swim) way back. I woulden't mind watching it again though and this new series seems interesting.

Ep 1 & 2

Something felt off, Liked it quite a bit but, this was more for the fanbase (i.e like me) than I would say it was trying to add to the overall story.

Anyway enjoyed both, combined score 3.8/5

I've only watched episodes 1 and 2. It sounds strange for me, but I'm waiting on Funi to finish dubbing the last two. I really like it thus far. I think it is strange how they changed Major's past on how she becomes a full cyborg. Maybe there is something to this? Idk. I just know it conflicts with what is inferred in Ghost in the Shell 2nd. Gig.. Still a great show though.

I really enjoyed the first two borders; I actually got to see them in theaters over the summer. Does anyone know if Funimation plans to show borders 3 & 4 in theaters as well?
