Spyro The Dragon was my favorite game as a kid, I remember i got it for my birthday at a pretty young age for the playstation and i completely ignored my birthday party and all my friends who came to see me that day. Who needs cake when you have spyro?

What is your Favorite Childhood game and what are you best memories while playing it?

It's pretty hard for me to choose... Some of my childhood favorites being Mario, Megaman, and Sonic... But I'll probably have to say Super Mario Bros; but which one? That's another tricky one!

Super Mario Bros. 2, although I do know that it coated over Doki Doki Panic, was a game that I really loved. I never owned it, but I often borrowed it from my uncle. Being able to play as Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess Toadstool was a lot of fun, and the variety of world and secrets to uncover added much to that. SMB2 was the first video game that I had finished as well, so I do have fond memories of that game.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is another game that I loved as a kid. Much like SMB2, the variety of worlds and secrets made the game a lot of fun. The introduction of Mario costumes and the Koopa Kids were a great addition too. It was a challenging game, but I would always exchange game tips with friends and family, so it was more social than playing SMB2 where I just stumbled my way along the obstacles and such. The game offered some great surprises too.

So... yeah... it's hard to decide between the two, but I'd probably go for SMB3, as it is still one of my all time favorite games... Or I could just say "Super Mario All-Stars" and be content with that answer.

Super Mario 64. My gaming skills were developed from playing it. My parents were into it too. I remember learning the timing for throwing Bowser into the bombs from my dad. Thanks to my family's love for Mario, I know every trick in the game.

My gaming life didn't begin until an age that many of my peers consider to be 'old'. My first, memorable gaming experience came in the form Sly Cooper & The Thieveus Racoonus.

Everything from the whimsical architecture to the clean cell-shading to the challenging gameplay to the lovable characters made me obsessed with this game right away. many an allowance were spent on its sequels down the road, and to this day, I have never parted with any of them. While I am bit uneasy about Thieves in Time (mostly because Sucker Punch isn't making it), I may very well buy it regardless; the gameplay looks similar and at the very least deserves a chance by me.

I am sure that this thread is directed towards video games. But for me.... my favorite games were pen and paper tabletop games. I played them from the age of 11 til I was 30. There is no video game or even any movie that could come close to the images we built when we went on amazing adventures in our minds. From battling dragons in AD&D to massive fire fights with agents in Cyberpunk.

That is actually where my anime love came from. A friend and I went to a gaming convention and they had an anime room. 24/7 anime on the TV. He and I walked in and watched Maddox-01 and were immediately hooked. It was worse then heroin for us. We blew all our money on more anime to watch at home. And it became part of our group's weekend gaming schedule. A few hours of gaming and a few hours of anime watching. It was glorious. Only wish we had crunchyroll back then. Actually no I dont. We never would have gone to work if that happened. LOL

But I guess this more leans to video games so I would have to say in that arena it would be early SWG. Star Wars Galaxies. Before SOE totally ripped it to shreds. Massive PVP battles that would last for hours and even days. Hunting things you had no business hunting on worlds you really shouldnt go too. And a crafting system so complex you needed to be a dang near genius to work with.

Mine would be Duck Hunt ... I got ridiculously good at it at a really young age, mainly because of that f*cking dog.

I blame that dog for my lifetime of being short tempered XD
