If you put your attention on the darkness, more and more of it shall surround you. If you fill your heart with a desire for love beyond imagination, and then release that to the universe, the universe will lead you to the path to find it.

I have a strong will, and so when I sought to discover the darkest this world has to offer so that I could understand the extent of suffering on this planet, it continuously went far deeper into an abyss of hopelessness than I could ever imagine. Every time I thought it couldn't get any worse, it did. It can always get darker, there are no limits. Whatever you imagine can be a possibility in some shape or form. It may not be in the form that you imagine, but the depth of darkness you imagine will manifest in a form that fits with the collective consciousness. Extreme things don't happen in the public eye because people doubt the possibility of such things. But for those who believe, there is all kinds of dark things lurking just out of sight that would resemble all kinds of dark fantasies.

Just like this, there is magical love and light beyond what most would dare hope for. It doesn't manifest widespread because so many doubt. We create our own realities. Some live in a world where magic is real, while many just dream of it.

It takes a lot to break free from the holds of the collective consciousness and a life time of conditioning to find such magic, be it dark or light. You have to be what you wish to experience.

Just watching so many of these stories on this website about love and hope makes a big difference for the world. From my studies, I'd assure you that this planet has recently made a shift towards the light after thousands of years of darkness. However, you have to seek the light yourself if you wish to experience it. You will not know the light and the extent of it's glory until you do. It must be experienced to be understood. The universe will give you love and light only to the extent that you are open to receive it. Bit by bit, it can lead you gently to a more and more open heart.

There is still a tremendous amount of destruction happening as the old system begins to crumble and lose it's hold. Those who do not embrace the opportunity that is here will be swept away along with it. Where light shines, darkness can not exist.

I encourage everyone to keep dreaming of love, and to believe with all that they have that their dreams may come true. However, don't hold them in your heart desperately, you must feel them with all you have, as if you have them now, and then surrender that dream to the universe so that it can give it back to you. If you don't let it go, your still carrying it within and there's no room for it to come to you without.

Let go and be at peace with everything, and the universe will express to you infinite peace in everything you experience.

I think the news media plays the same game as The Church did with Apocalyptic-Christianity these days. When ever I see televised news, it's always murder-porn&crime, "the evil enemy of modern-society", and the once-a-week happy story. It's not that bad stuff isn't happening. It is, and does. But, we just hear more of it, and televised news turns it into entertainment for ratings. Remember, if it bleeds it leads.

Yes and no.

Yes - The world is as bad because you see some of the horrible things people are capable of in life.

No - And on the flipside, many good and wonderful things go unnoticed and unwritten about.

I think there are really a few questions here. Why does the media focus on airing bad news? is the world getting worse even with scientific discoveries?

Now keep in mind this is solely my opinion. The media focuses on bad news simply because it is what people will pay the most attention to, if the news only covered good news, odds are people wouldn't really watch them that often, because everything is fine. Why would i have to worry about watching the news, when there is nothing for me to worry about? People are attracted by drama and by human conflict. Whether it is armed conflict, political, religious, whatever else.

I dont see the world as inherently good or bad, just like i dont see poeple are inherently good or bad. No person does only good just like no person does only bad. Every decision you make will affect some people around you negatively and others positively to some degree.

As for is the world getting worse and worse? i dont think so, it might be getting marginally better, but it is definitely not getting worse. The difference is the availability to information is far greater than it ever was. Before, the only people who could really inform others as to what was going on around the world were news channels. Now, anyone that has access to the internet and owns a phone can take a video, uploaded and make a statement on it. It means that there are far more people out there displaying the news. In the past far more violence went unreported, now more is reported.
Also, human population continues to grow year after year at a faster rate. That means that even now we are producing far more children than people we are losing year to year.
Now I think some people have an unrealistic expectation as to how quickly technology can accomplish something, and how quickly it diffuses through the world. Technology also has an effect on everything else, when people develop technology they do so to solve a single problem, however, the way that problem is solved will eventually cause new problems to arise. For example, the invention of antibiotics, and evolution responding with resistant bacteria. No matter how much technology advances, there will always be something we failed to see coming, something we cannot control, simply because we dont have the capacity to measure all the consequences of our actions. We can only solve one problem at a time.

I stopped watching the news a long time ago one bad thing after another. Makes people wish they never got out the house or let their kids outside to enjoy their life.

The media focuses on what they think sells to viewers:
Scandal, murder, sports, race/gender/civil 'issues', 'miracles' and tragedies, and government.
The don't view the whole and write about how millions of kids had a good day today, but if a kid is part of an accident, you'll seeit plastered everywhere.

Yeah, this is pretty much what I think. The media is just reporting (mostly) sad news, not making the the world worse than it already is.
