Would be nice to try get the licenses for both dub and sub but since thats going to be pretty hard I would say go after subs first unless its universally held as an extremely good dub (bebop, champloo, baccano! etc)

I think I have gotten use to the subs after watching so many. Would I like to see some English dubs? Sure. But, I won't die if there aren't any.

I kinda want more and more DUBs on crunchyroll to give it a more overall feel to our western Anime culture. Plus, sometimes I don't want to read, so listening to some pretty okay voice actors would make it a bit easier for me.

I agree, I think if CR offered lots of dubs on older stuff then it could attract a whole new fanbase here.
I for one know lots of people who only watch dubs.

Yea, especially if they could get dubs of classics. Champloo, trigun, bebop. Or even dubs of things you would have seen dubbed as a kid gundam wing, DBZ, shaman king. Or just things which are renown as good dubs baccano! etc.

The problem there is that a lot of those shows are already licensed by someone else.
I know for a fact that DBZ, and Baccano are Funimation licenses so I think a lot of the classics are out of the question simply because the license holders would never let CR have them.

Yea, this is the problem. Its also why i dont think CR should try too hard on the dubs, its currently pretty individual in terms of it being almost all subs and legal streaming in the west

Why thank you ^.^., Would have to agree with you there. Since CR gets many of the new shows, the old shows that are already licensed would probably not be given up so easily since we are competitors in the market. But, it's true that a different audience would appear if we did get them ^.^ Still I miss classic Toonami. I don't know why its different for me I've collected all of the series from that block on DVD but it's different watching it on TV than it is on DVD for me strangely.

It is a shame but there is not a lot that can be done about it since Funimation holds a hell of a lot of those licenses and CR and Funimation are pretty much direct competitors now that they have the Funimation player.
The best odds for acquiring dubs would probably be for CR to approach the companies that don't have a great online presence such as Sentai.
I too collect a lot of the sets that are not on here but being in England I will need to get a multi region blu ray player soon because Manga uk hardly ever do blu rays, they only just released Clannad after story on dvd and they are charging about 30% more than it would for me to import the blu ray boxset.
Damn Sentai and their region locked releases.

I have no quarrel with dubs, however I believe Japanese voice actors put so much more feeling into their work.
