CR's English Dubbed Anime
|
I have no quarrel with dubs, however I believe Japanese voice actors put so much more feeling into their work.

うおおお~!School's almost out. イエス!That's always a good feeling.

It's a good thing that subtitles don't bother me, because that's quite an underwhelming list of anime

Blast reality. Burst it into shreds. Banishment...this world!

I have really gotten use to subs and I think most of the acting in dubs in pretty bad

Exactly I feel like if CR provided more dubs to popular animes like bleach and naruto for starters would be excellent. Giving the option to people who pay monthly to choose between the subs and dubs would be great. I'm not too inform about the licensing or all that but you have someone like who would LOVE to have more dubs, anyways thats my take on it.

Probably not, unfortunately. At least, not a lot of them in a little time, at least. |

well there's always Neon Alley though I still don't like the way it is set up. dunno but there are shows where I felt actors put their all in *GASP* the dub version and the quality is slightly improving. examples Cowboy Bebop, Baccano! Black Lagoon, Hellsing Ultimate. don't mind watching in either sub or dub but would like to see more of the latter in near future

Well this thread served the purpose of preventing me from making a thread asking about dubs.
I know its probably looked down on but I only watch Dubbed anime. There are two big reasons. One, its fun to be able to browse the net while the show is on. Two, is that I really do not like the voices of the majority of Japanese anime. For example in several shows you have some big burly fighter that sounds like a teenage boy/girl when they talk. Pretty disappointed that out of the hundreds of anime shows on here only a handful are English dubs. |

I kinda wish to watch more dubs. |

It's not end of the world, yet dub would instantly increase cr's presence in the anime industry, even if it's for 6 months only, just to promote a show or collection of shows.
Funimation is fine, but they ignore countries like the uk so we can't watch the player, no matter how many shows they have. If only they worked with cr or worked on more digital distribution over here. |

the only dubs I like is Inuyasha Fruits basket and Death note and I'm pretty sure they are titles that u don't get so ya ha ha anyways I'll stick to subs on this site I only watch dubs when I 'm bored and don't want to read or if I'm ill and can't read it

You wouldn't honestly know how Japanese voice actors put feeling into their work because you don't know the language thoroughly to pick up on things specific to it. Whereas a language you do know, you'd be quicker to tear it apart and whatnot. No offense or anything, also if you know Japanese I apologize because... well it would make my argument invalid and pointless. Both have their ups and downs, you can't deny dubs have talented people behind them and the same goes for the original takes. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. |
