So, now that there's a sequel coming, pleeease add Code Geass, with dub. That dub is perfect. (Also it was on Crunchy before both ways, before it went into license limbo).

Yup. That's about it. If you strongly prefer dubs, then Funimation is likely to be a better service for you (if you are in US or Canada especially). CR's focus is on subtitled simulcasts (though they are also building their catalog of older titles--mostly subtitled); having some dubs is pretty much incidental.

I've watched so much subbed anime now that having American dubs just makes it sound unnatural to me. That said, dubbed anime is handy for say watching anime on the sly while I'm at work since I don't have subtitles that I need to focus on and can keep working while watching on my phone. I've been giving Free! a go while at work. It's disappointing to see we get very little of the dubbed anime listed on the first page here in Australia though.

I hate paying for crunchyroll when there aren't any dubbed anime that I wanna see that I know are available in a dubbed format. I'm dyslexic and because of this it's extremely hard to watch subbed anime. Can someone tell me specifically why there are a million anime on this site that are also available in dubbed but are only on this site in subbed? and where I might be able to find a place that offers a lot of dubbed anime?

The recent Crunchyroll/Funimation partnership sharing distribution is starting to have a little progress. When it is done, (probably will take a couple years at the current rate), Funimation will have the dubs and Crunchyroll will have the subs. There will be a few shows here and there where that guideline won't be followed strictly, but if you really only want dubs going forward, then Funimation's your uncle...

If you don't live in USA/Canada/UK, then you have my sympathy.

This should really be a search option. My 9 year old sister likes to watch anime in my living room. but she has issues keeping up with the dialogue while watching subs... I mean heck, even a search option only available for Premium users wouldn't bother me

I've said it before, but this whole "dubs on one site, subs on the other" is a really bad plan. It creates this huge divide between fans of the same shows. It's also more of that whole issue with websites making it too easy to stick with the same sorts of things you already watch, instead of encouraging you to broaden your horizons, and how much of a problem that is.

If you really like a show - not for every show you watch, but for the ones you really like - I think it's important to watch both and know both... if you only watch one or the other, unless your native language is Japanese, you're not getting the whole show.

Not to mention... explaining to new fans who don't know anything about anime... you want to show them something - Yuri on Ice is a great example, because it is actually attracting a whole lot of people who don't regularly watch anime. You tell someone to watch it, and they ask where they can find it... and you have to explain, well, if you want to watch it in English, go to that site, and if you want to watch it with subtitles, go to this site. They'd just get confused, and sort of skeptical of this whole anime thing. It really puts the worse aspects of the anime fandoms right up front.

I really hope FUNi and Crunchy just merge into one site sometime in the future. Because... why not? Like, unless there's some clause in the contracts with Japanese production committees that forbids it... why not?

Hmmm if anything it's less confusing. Do you want subs or dubs - two sites, twice the chance for people to enjoy show and support the studio with legal viewing. Both perfectly fine as separate entities and this partnership needs no merger to bloom for anime fans - everyone gets more shows, easier access to DVDs and basically and either one or other one stop shop for swathes of simulcast/dub anime. Only benefit from a merger IMO would be FUNI thus becoming worldwide. Otherwise they're 2 sides of same coin, similar and yet have huge difference in their core strengths.

A lot of the shows on Crunchyroll have dubs but aren't available to watch as a dub on there, I get that licensing issues come up, but then make it a feature to have more dubs with the subscription, I would pay for that!

With the recent partnership agreement, most dubs will eventually be on Funimation, not on CR:
