I loved the anime, but I won't mind if it doesn't come back. SAO and ALO were the only arcs that I really enjoyed enough to want to see animated. GGO and Alicization not so much.

Mother's Rosario might be a cool OVA though.

Indeed i did! :3 i have no problem with it, I did say it was fine.

it's more everyone else i'm worried about, seeing as the collective community is far from reaching any form of agreement on just where SAO stands in terms of quality, and since its debut has caused quite a lot of in-house fighting within the community.

it would appear a continuation would serve to fan the fire so to speak.

Better to continue as long as the story allows than to bow to either critics (note: not saying you are one) or just because of a few forum wars. I mean look at Full Metal Alchemist vs Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood fans.

Hmm, well i suppose. Personally i feel torn, Sword Art Online certainly had it's share of good, it was by no means terrible, i did find a few points i liked about it, that and i also felt SAO had a lot of room to better itself.

That said, a continuation may prove interesting, seeing the arc's the light novel would provide, giving SAO some room to grow.

However, SAO was never without problem's, in turn SAO often suffered for it, personally I felt this kept it from reaching it's full potential.

But i'd like to imagine myself an optimist, and I do hope the issue's from it's first run can be ironed out in a continuation.

So, perhaps your right, Second chances are by no means a terrible thing, and if SAO does stumble in it's future installments, we can always find other title to enjoy i suppose.

I personally think it'd be more improving on what is already a good anime rather than being any form of 'redemption'. I've said that it has flaws (more nitpicks) but none that kill it and the ones that several critics have pointed out I've already addressed whether they want to accept the answers or not. I'll wait for the next season since I'm an optimist and I can just hope the critics of the world finally listen to good advice and find their holes to retreat to when it does finally come.

If they're going to make another season, I want to see A-1 Pictures take a risk and deviate from the light novels. But then again, I'm pretty sure it won't happen.

After watching season 1, I know they'll want to continue with season 2.

Kind of hoping the manga, and eventually the anime, to have a mech game. We've had rpg medieval, fairies and third arc is about guns. It'd be cool to see various mech look alikes from different animes & games.

The second season of Accel World is up next but there is most likely going to be a season 2 for SAO too
