I felt guilty this morning because I should have done my homework earlier. But I did it this afternoon, so now I don't feel guilty anymore.

Since I've been over-thinking for almost 4 years now, I have felt everything action I was doing was wrong and began feeling guilt over that. I'm still working on that today.

Use a different font color, I can barely read that!

Oh sure, make her feel guilty over her color choice now. Good one.

Life is easy when you don't have a conscience. Such as myself, never feeling guilty about anything, however people think of you as arrogant.

i used to feel guilty about everything and i hated it, so i gave up on guilt, you cant change the past, there is reason to think about it any longer than you have to.

If you feel prolonged guilt for no reason, I would highly suggest visiting your local mental health specialist; Guilt is a very common trait of depression.

Being happy isn't a bad thing. You don't have to think you deserve it - but accept it when it's there. Work to be the change you want to see in the world, as the saying goes.. other than that, life is to live. Enjoy.

(Says this much older man than you, OP)

Not me! I rarely feel guilty, even though I have a bad personality and loose morals. I'll take responsibility for problems (even if I didn't cause them), but my emotional investment is practically zero.
I'm a really happy person and very satisfied with my life.

If you think you don't deserve something or whatever, look outside yourself and look at all the terrible people out there that don't deserve the good things they have, or even how they don't deserve the good things that may be of your doing. The ones not feeling guilty can do so because they have an understanding of the unspoken forgiveness, where upon even if all of us terrible people should pay for our mistakes, the rain keeps falling, the stores keep stocking food for us to buy and eat, our homes still provide us with warmth.

Very often those who feel guilty are the most adamant about not forgiving themselves. So while it's true, you many have wronged someone who will not forgive you, there are billions out there who don't hold it against you. Another thing to do if the feelings of guilt have to do with someone is to find a peaceable way to communicate your feelings and listen to theirs. A true compromise is an agreement that both sides can accept and uphold, and should be the goal.

Of course, this is just my opinion.
For all you know, I could be the type of person to steal your wallet, cut up all your cards, then give it back after claiming to have 'found' it.
Wouldn't even feel guilty either.

Guilt is a rather useless emotion, doesn't help anyone least yourself. As for the not feeling deserving, really no one 'deserves' anymore than what they get and by any such means they use to get stuff; comes down to whether or not you feel comfortable with how you attained said stuff.

I feel guilt over everything even sometimes when I do good things, and I pretty much hate every single thing about myself. I know to some degree that I shouldn't but it only ever seems to get worse. So you're not alone if that's any comfort to you.

Does anybody else feel guilty at everything? Like, I can't even think of myself being happy because I think to myself - 'a guy like me doesn't deserve it.' And when I feel like a girl likes me I'm always so awkwardly insecure nowadays even though people say I'm 'overconfident', it's like I'm throttling myself with stress. Then again, is this just me being an old man (at 18).

Sorry for the weird question, just want to know if anyone feels anything similar.

You are not the only one that feels that way my friend. I feel guilty about most of the things that I do, second guessing myself is what kinda makes me me. Although, I give you praise because you are actually asking if others feel the same way that you do. I hardly ever let anyone know what is going on in my life, I feel gulity about doing that because I see it as me putting a burden on someone else.

The irony is that I will help other people before I help myself. The people who know me know that I am a great person to help them with their problems. Hell I have helped complete strangers with their problems. Personal insecurities are universal.

Life is too short to feel so guilty, LEARN from your mistakes and move on.
