Rurouni Kenshin - taught me there was two sides to every conflict and to understand each side but still fight for what you think is right in a semi-responsible way

It's an anime movie, Spirited Away, but it taught me how greedy and dirty people can be.
Her parents thought money could make up for gobbling up someone else' work efforts. They turned into pigs because of that notion for greed. It also taught me how everyone has two sides, the dragon boy also had a story to him and was bitter because of it but he also had a good side to him as well. The pollution and urban development in building more structures were really hurting the nature around them. Shown by the river spirits....people lost their old ways.... It taught me to try and be nicer to others because we all have our own hardships to deal with (a philosophical quote too, I know). I just enjoyed it... She had no direction, only a goal... she made a family of other people who helped her along the way....something very close to my heart since I too deal with a lost in connection to my biological family.. Theres more but...I guess those were what really touched my heart.. |

If I had to pick one series I would say Trigun. Although I had seen Dragon Ball before it, Trigun was like a gateway for me into the world of anime.

FullMetal Alchemist changed my life. It came to a point where I rose from a student who failed almost every test to someone who took a place as Top 8 in class. Such a big help the Anime was to me.
It taught me that if you want to gain something, you have to give; in other words, sacrifice. Not only sacrifice, but having to stand up and move on after something terrible happens. People die, that's the flow of the world. And when you live, your life will end sooner or later... the body will return to the earth. Grass and flowers will grow on top of it. The soul will nourish the hearts... and it will live on in the hearts of other people. Everything in this world flows around and circulates, and that goes for human lives, too.. Lastly, I can't keep thinking that I am all that matter. |

Arjuna made me more diligent about recycling, and more aware of what kinds of waste I was putting in sewers and landfills.
Every time I watch a sports anime, I get motivated to do more physical activities- not necessarily related to sports either- everything from gutting closets and rearranging them, really intense housecleaning rampages, getting my friends together and playing some ball, or working out harder. I like how much I learn from sports anime about rules and strategy. I get inspired by the chraracters' hard work and determination, watching them push trhough tough times to achieve successes big and small. |

Naruto - Got me into anime - I was always curious why animes had so many eps while I was on Hulu, so I decided to try Naruto; got hooked instantly.
Gintama - Funniest anime I've ever seen in my entire life. Steins;Gate - Speaks for itself, one of the most amazing anime I've seen. Amazing characters, Okabe Rintarou, and time travel that somehow isn't stupid and it's usage is almost totally original. FMA/Brotherhood - Second anime ever, what actually opened me up to other animes, as my friend told me to try it, so I finished FMA in a couple days, and hated it (when it strayed from the manga) So I started Brotherhood and loved it, and afterwards started looking for more anime I could watch ^^ |

Princess Mononoke and My Neighbor Totoro gave me a better appreciation for nature and living.
