You studied management and marketing and you were surprised by this? Lesson for the day; read the fine print if you don't like surprises.

Also, I don't think you understand the meaning of an oxymoron, considering one was never used by anyone.
It's an epigrammatic effect, by which contradictory terms are used in conjunction.
Examples include but are not limited to; living death, seriously funny, deafening silence, found missing and pretty ugly.

Sorry, but I don't think you are in a position to be calling anyone a moron. No offense intended.

The more this guy talks, the more I laugh. Thank you for your ignorance, and to support my point that they tell you clearly I decided to make a new account to see the where/what they say about charging you. The second I clicked '14 day trial' I was presented with a screen that had a big button saying 'Continue' and right underneath it in about this sized text:

'If you want to keep the premium membership after the free trial, simply do nothing -- your membership will automatically renew at $11.95 per month. If not, cancel online anytime. You can also upgrade to the one year plan to take advantage of the lower rate. '

Yes, they tried to hide it SO HARD.

this.

Well, I always knew this was the case for all free trials such as this. So I guess if you're not experienced then you wouldn't know it. I have to admit though, in all fairness, that the print is a bit smaller and lighter. Here is a screenshot. I circled in red the stuff about auto pay. This is what it looks like from my Blackberry Playbook:

Why can't you just support the anime industry as soon as possible and pay right away like I did?

I am currently under the 2 week trial at Funimation. I will be dropping it before it automatically charges me the $7. The sneakyness there is the same as it is here. I had to provide them payment information so they can automatically switch my membership from trial to real once the 2 weeks is up.

I gather you're not from the US and perhaps the norm in the EU is different, but this is VERY common here.

To all people with xbox 360's or people that are getting that 2 week "free trail" offer in wich you need 2 go trough your paypal to get a 2 week "free trail" i tought i would try it for my console i am now moved in with my gf who doesent have internet at her/our apartment yes for 2 weeks its free but it automatically attatches to your paypal monthly deduction section so after 2 weeks the "free trail" goes into a monthy subscription and crunchyroll will not refund your money they will only give you help on how to cancel the monthly subscription even if you told them your not gonna be abled to use the premium subscription cause your new apartment does not have internet so be aware if u do not wanna get robbed of money out of your Paypal account and after downloading the so called free trail, go into your monthly paying section of Paypal and cancel monthly payment straight away if u don't wish to use there monthly services but if you do like it and have internet at your apartment and like crunchyroll his service then by all means keep the monthly subscription and crunchyroll needs to get a better refund policy for these sort of cases

I see where you're coming from, but Crunchyroll clearly told me when I went for my free, two week trial that it would automatically roll into a monthly subscription. So there was no 'robbing' here, it was mostly on your end. I can still see where it is still a little tricky, though.
