I'm very happy with CR lately, this season included. You got what few shows I was interested in, and a few unexpected gems beyond those. All the good shows interrupt my plans to watch catalog shows (which I'm still trying to trim my selection enough to do, but it's difficult).
However, that stat feels a tad misleading with the large burst of short shows (is there a term for these? I'd have want to say yon-koma per that being most common among their origins, but that's not accurately descriptive). Not that I'm complaining. While normal shows must go though all sorts of trials to get a permanent spot on my roster, I pick up short shows unconditionally (so far, this season almost has me refining that policy, but I still have the time).
Even cutting out the short shows from the total, CR is simulcasting an impressive number of shows.

You know what... I hope not, but I can see what you're saying. There's so much coming out in every new season alone that it's getting crazy hard to keep up, and on top of that there's catalog titles. Not just on here, but on other places like Funimation too. If you even blink and tune out for a couple months or years, the sheer volume of titles that get released in the meantime is like this huge avalanche that buries you if you even remotely want to look at all of the stuff you might've missed.
That said, I'm glad Crunchyroll did such a great job grabbing so many wonderful titles. Like I keep saying, I never regret paying for a premium subscription on Crunchyroll. It's the only online streaming TV watching service I never cancel.
