I'd assume it was cultural differences, but that's never stopped me with anime. As for Western TV... most of the stuff I used to keep up with I'm really behind on. Supernatural, Doctor Who and Being Human (UK) are all in that category. I've been very slowly watching White Collar, Once Upon a Time and American Horror Story; I can manage about one episode every few weeks with those. A lot of things I used to enjoy are now cancelled (Merlin, Survivors, Heroes), and Glee is my guilty pleasure, though I couldn't tell you why I still watch it. 99% of the time it either offends or depresses me.

The next thing I'm going to make is sujebi, I've already gathered the ingredients.

Plus finding Korean cooking ingriedients here in small town America is difficult at best. Looks really good btw.
