Take a gander, understand them, and we shouldn't have any problems

1. No god-modding or power-modding, this is our number one rule to be enforced at all times. This will lay down the standard line for engagement in the RP. No one is to take a passive action that already predetermines the outcome of an attack or action without the other player's permission. An example of god-modding would be:

Person A punches person B in the right cheek.
Person B dodges the attack, grabs person A and throws him into the wall making a deep crack in it.

To help avoid god-modding, try implementing words and phrases where your character is about to take the action but does not exactly execute the whole thing like "about to" or "aiming for". If you by mistake inflict a passive action on a player and they just roll on with it that means that they are okay with this action and you're pretty much clear of any conviction. But if the player starts to complain about it he or she has blocked permission of you taking the action, then we got a problem. In which case, you should go back to your post and re-edit it so that it so that the action is not god-modding.

Power-modding is basically the instance of a character being way too over-powered. It does not necessarily mean that they're god-modding but the way they're doing stuff is just plain unfair. We will be implementing a power cap which can be read at the bottom of this post so that you guys know what and what not to do.

2. Make clean posts, no quote trains; by that I mean a constant stream of quoted posts with spoilers and fill the entire forum page with unecessary text. It takes up space, it takes up RAM, and it takes up scroll time. So do the right thing: put your quote in spoilers or delete the entire quote when posting.

3. RESPECT: Show courtesy to other players and they'll show courtesy to you, these are the times when you just have to swallow up whatever pride you have and be more empathetic towards one another. No derogatory comments, no claims of people being the future head dictator of the world. Trolling. I'm not gonna even get into cause that's a "kill on site" approach.

4. When creating or editing your characters, place this construction symbol on top of your post: so that we know you are still editing it. When you are done editing you may remove that symbol and await a mod to approve your character. After that you can start RPing. When creating the bios of your character, don't piggyback or leech off of the ideas or concepts of characters other players created without their permission.

5. Once your character is approved you can't go back to re-edit anything without me or another mod's okay, this is to prevent players from power-modding by changing or adding new things as they see fit.

6. You are allowed to have up to three characters, one character cannot be in more than one place at the same time. It's not a real good tactic to find activity in the RP, it just adds to the confusion. If you want to go from one place to another state so in a post.

If you see someone not following these rules, don't hesitate to report it. We'll look into it and if we confirm that the guy is rule-breaking we'll step on his neck and intervene. This, at the same time, should not be abused meaning no false accusations.

Power Cap

-Magic: Let's not kid ourselves here, magic in a slice-of-life themed RP just takes away the realism of the experience. Healing, summoning, weather control, element manipulation, nullification and other offensives are a no-no. If you're looking for a more magic fantasy-based genre then sorry, this ain't your cup of tea.
