I'd suggest HxH (2011)*, Death Note, One Piece, Kuroko's Basketball, Claymore, Gurren Lagann, and My Little Monster. A bunch of different genres for everyone.

I'd suggest that one, The Pet Girl of Su-something-or-other, Gurren Lagann, Fullmetal Alchemist (either/or), Code Geass, Claymore, Say "I love you". There's more, but its too big a list. Hell I'd suggest Tales of the Abyss if I knew the person would like it.
