Recently...Queen's Blade. Sure after watching a first two episodes a while ago, i put it on hold since i wasn't really liking it too much. I came back to it last week and it is actually pretty good the more you watch. Behind all the ecchiness, there is actually a good story of all the females facing their own problems and deciding to join the Queen's Blade tournament to become the new Queen and change the continent. I know many people have dropped this, but you definitely should give it another try.

Wait there is a plot to Queens Blade? No really there is a plot???

All anime has a plot, just some are not as clear as others. Anyway, i like Queen's Blade plot and at least it stays faithful throughout the series and is very entertaining.

Alright,
this new favorite of mine is an older one
but I don't know how many Anime I have watched since I found my number one.

With that being said I just want to point out my Top 3:

1. Shakugan no Shana
2. Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion
3. Gurren Lagann

Now, my number one is by J.C. Staff. I have seen many from that studio that I hold close to my heart but there's a new one that I just started early this morning from J.C. Staff and is now becoming one of my favorite of favorites...to the point where it could take over any one of my Top 3, but, personally I kinda doubt it. With no further a due, I would like to announce my New Favorite Anime...

Nabari no Ou

I guess I will explain a little as to why I enjoy this so much, well...what's got me hooked so much is how they animate the characters. The way their bodies are animated, the lengthy thing and the smile! I see my favorite yandere smile here and there. Those hand to hand fight sequences are very appealing to me. I left this one for last because if you know me from CrunchyRoll then you know how much I love J.C. Staff's Animation of Eyes! ^_~m There's a lot of elements that come together that I crave in all sorts of Anime but they seem to come together here, perfectly, for me. The story is also very appealing to me thus far. I'm not very far in what-so-ever which is what makes all this so DAMN promising! So, the story hasn't developed all that much but I can kindof understand a little bit of what's going on.

I know I'm really late to the party, but Death Note. I've been meaning to get to it for years now, and just finally did... and I must say it lives up to the hype, at least to me.

I really love Muromi-San. How engrossed was I with Muromi-san?

It wasn't until the 10th episode that I realized that the episodes are only 12 minutes long. How in the world did I not know that until episode 10?

Best recent anime for me is Oreimo . Unfortunately, I had to stop watching after season 1 because of a few missing episodes (on Crunchyroll) that are pretty necessary for the beginning of season 2 (I found out the hard way, starting season 2 without knowing). Another favorite recent is Yuru Yuri, a litte yuri slice-of-life comedy anime that gets better the more you watch. Great show if you can get past an annoying character or 2...
...(luckily there are many characters), and don't mind yuri anime (girlXgirl love/romance/crushes, whatever)

Some anime I'd recommend (just from my recent viewings):

Sword Art Online - I REALLY don't understand the hate on this show. I think it's just people jumping on the bandwagon/hate train, being hipsters or whatever, feeling "cool" hating the popular thing. The show is very well done. There's a reason for its popularity. It's not one of my favorites, but I still highly recommend giving it a watch.

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou - This would probably be a favorite of mine, except a few bad character designs can easily ruin a show for me. The art and animation (very similar to ToraDora, if that helps), voices, and music are all great, and there's a pretty good story there too! If you can get past the annoying obnoxiously hyper girl in episode 1, or better yet, you like her, then you'll probably love the show.

Hanasaku Iroha - Watched it, I dunno, 6-8 months ago, but it was excellent! I don't see it getting much love, so I thought I'd throw it out there.

Not a lot here for the action lover, mostly comedy for me.

Also, for those recommending Hunter X Hunter 2011 or whatever the new one is, do you recommend it if you've seen the old show first? The original show was my favorite anime for many years, so I've been pretty hesitant about checking out the new run.
