Perfect Anime - is it possible?
|
In my opinion, the strive for perfection creates hate. Has there been anything in the world everyone can agree on in history? No. A perfect anime in my opinion is an anime that everyone enjoys watching but there has never been a show near that line.

Perfection first of all doesnt really exist, its only a thing of your imagination and a status you can strive for your entire life without reaching it so no.

Ironic that you ask this... In a FanFiction of Darker Than Black I am writing, my OC main character has a writer's complex and is manipulating the characters of DtB (namely everyone with a relationship to Hei) to write the 'ultimate novel'.
He does so by using his various 'characters' in different ways where each one has something different to gain from going through the story for different reasons, and each character contributing a different aspect/element/genre that someone could think of to use in a novel; because by having a number of characters who have a number of different reasons to reach a number of different goals through a number of different means that add a number of different aspects of what could be in a story, you end up with at least one thing or person that each reader could relate to and/or will enjoy greatly. In short, a 'perfect anime' may be possible, if it can use this kind of theory in its development a story that uses everything one can think of that could be used, every genre, in one sense or another, and a number of different characters that can relate to a different kind of person |

We can come close to it, but I don't think we will ever get one. And like many others said before, It also depends on what is your definition of "perfect" is.

That just goes to show how different everyone's tastes are. Although I watch both series and the spin-offs, I can't exactly say it's even an above-average series. There were just too many things about the series that I found lacking. Personally, I couldn't understand the hype. Not trying to debate the merits of that series. Just found it interesting that a series I didn't particular like for various reasons, someone felt it was perfect. |

lol Tremors :D As far as anime no, a perfect anime is not possible. It is possible for an anime to be perfect or close for someone; fits their favorite genre, content, art style ect. but no one anime can be considered perfect by everyone because peoples taste vary vastly. |

I have always felt that “Plastic Little” was the closest thing to anime perfection.

Although, Key Visual does produce some really good stuff Agreed, it's just not possible as perfection is a truly subjective thing. BTW your profile pic is fucking awesome! |

Well if something were to be made in perfection, well then it would never even get out to the public, first off, there's a deadline for everything -.- This is one of the reasons, the other is, that we all like different things, how can something be perfect when only certain people like it and some don't? You can't make something that everyone likes, that's impossible, i'll say it -.- So will there ever be a perfect Anime? I don't think so, the only thing that could cause this, is if everyone had the same views, the same likes, but that's difficult to see happening :L

Monster Girl Quest... nuff said xD (Btw.. good game xDDD) It's a fact!

Probably not, though I must say imperfection is far more entertaining and intriguing to watch than perfection. Whatever perfection may be, I can guarantee it wouldn't be as wonderful as realistic imperfection.
Though, you could also argue that anything could be considered perfect so long as you define perfect. |

What is perfect for someone is rubbish to someone else. I don't think I'll ever witness a perfect anime for me either, because if I do I'll know nothing will ever eclipse it.
