Would you rather live in Japan or where you live now? If so why?
|
I would love to live in Japan. My current home isn't conducive to working in a creative field which I can live with. But there is no diversity in the landscape. It is all flat midwestern gray and far from the ocean or any mountains. I would love to change if only for the chance to experience another culture and the beauty of its diverse Island of steel and natural beauty even in an industrialized town like mine.

Honestly... Japan is great and all, but its going to lose its luster after... 2 months really. It would be the same old hum drum of life. So I want to visit there for an awesome vacation (which i have already done but planning on doing again)

Depends on where in Japan. Tokyo, no. Osaka..not really. I'd love to visit family for a few months in Kyoto and Okinawa; but honestly, I'm comfortable here in the states.

Roll Tide. |

I currently live in Japan. I've been living here for two years and it's lost it's luster for me. Life just continues on normally. I am envious of those who look at the country with the eyes of a tourist because it's all so normal to me. I pass a very, very old castle everyday on my way to work and I take it for granted.
When my friend came to visit me last month in March I was able to see things a little differently because my friend helped show the glow that surrounds some of the rich-in-culture areas of the country. Any other day I would have passed this view by, but due to my friend's visit, I was able to enjoy the beauty of the March sakura and the castle. |

YES, YES!
I'm from the Netherlands, which is a really small country. Though I live in a big city (Amsterdam) it's still so small.. I'd like to see the world, but I'd LOVE to move to Japan (: |

I have relatives in Japan and I have been their 7 times and it was really fun every time I visited them. Not sure if I would want to live their forever but I sure do want to live in Japan for a couple of years. Haven't been to Japan for 6 years so I miss it

As much as I love Japan and Japanese culture, I am going to lean towards no. I own a house in Northeast PA, that is surrounded by forest and nature. Unless I found something similar in the country-side of Japan along with lots of deer, I probably would not be happy. |
