Well, sorry bud, but that just means you don't get what the screamings for. Honestly I wished more bands increased the vocals sound rather then having the drums drown out the singer. And the guitarist isn't going to get blocked out by the singer. Screaming takes a whole lot of skill, and you can still clearly hear the instruments. You must be listening to the wrong metal.

Sorry if I come off rude, but I just hate when people don't get what the screamings for, being a screamer myself.

No worries, your not coming off as rude, and I hope I am not either. I have the exact opposite taste you do I think .I believe a lot of songs out there are balanced toward the singer more than they should be. Also, you haven't really explained what the screaming is for, just that it is difficult.

Its a matter of style to them its singing there own way also each style means some thing different than other styles Like Country is about family, god woman life in the country metal can signal rage and anger I can be wrong I just think music each type can mean something as a whole signal a mood my taste vary with mood I listen to metal when am pissed or need to get hyped up each general ot music o course is different and will mean different things to different people some people will call metal screaming others will say singing hardcore I get what you say if try listening to the words to understand it I know since am not a metal head my pont of view sucks I say start with reg metal some havy metal , metal heads will or korn like hinder and evenessence say its not true metal like my friend like some say main stream music and bands I like are sell outs sold out to what is popular like Linkin Park. to some havy metal is true music not sell outs to be liked more who always do there style even if it dos not sell out cds like main stream rock. like some say Linkin Park sold out and went with the croud. Did this help a little.

Screaming, basically, is what defines certain metal genres, like extreme, goth, death. In many cases, it's really atmospheric. And think about it, you'd be screaming as well at a metal concert.

The problem with Linkin Park is that they went electronic. I wouldn't say they sold out, I would say they just switched genres. I mean Abandon All Ships is electronic, but at it's core it's still metal.

Screaming is difficult yes, but it is a great way to go with the harsh distorted guitar and keyboards and fast drum.

I suppose my teen years are going great. Actually, compared with my PRE-TEEN years, they've been amazing. Huh. Lucky me I guess! xD

i used to be a quiet girl when i was in elementary. i'd only get noisy with a few close friends. i didnt like the crowd and hated crowded places. i was one of the unpopular kids.

then in high school, where i was still unpopular. i didnt have big boobs or all the boys' attention. but i had a lot of guy friends (always and forever will be getting along with guys more than with girls). i became more talkative and friendly with people. i didnt like the upperclassmen, and was okay with some of the younger batches (most are sluts and attention whores). i gave off a violent aura because i would stare down people (who i dont like btw) who bumped in to me in the hallways.

then in college where suddenly i became someone everybody knew. but i guess thats what girls get when they go to engineering (and the building of computer science people was nearby also and words spread like fire). i was shy at first and wouldnt talk to anyone, but i became noisy with people again. i made friends easily, as long as i dont sense the bitch aura from them. plus i now like parties, but only with friends. i even like upperclassmen now. and although the younger batch was a bit weird, i didnt really hate them anymore. i must be maturing. damn.

Teen years?
well they have been rough i pretty much have to hold my own these days no one really has time for me anymore and when they do it never lasts i mean sure i have plenty of friends to hang out with but all as they ever want to do is get drunk or high and then when i don't join in i get rejected. So the more my youth fades the lonelier i am getting when all that i ever really wanted was someone who understood me but time is running out so i have just gave up on my teen years.

You have to make your own road. You have another good 10-15 years of "youth". Don't waste this time. Decide what you want for yourself out of this life, and then take it. It may sound harsh but I will warn you; if you wait around for the world to hand you happiness you will wait forever.

Just recently out from teenage. I didn't really change much I'm still quite a prankster, thing is, it seems like I'm attracting more and more responsible people as I gets older. Well, my teenage life focused with me being a popular teenager with no friends.

I'm still in my teen years. So far they've been good, had the odd ups and downs though.

I was broody, hyper, moody, eager to impress, defiant and uh, too into the ladies.

not much different now. except i'm way more honest with myself and in control of emotions. i've become much more patient too.

My teens years were ok i guess. I went to small school where my class was 15 people from pre-k to 9th grade. Those years were the bomb until my school got shut down for bankruptcy. i was very involve in school events and had awesome Friends. Believe or not there were not any bullies at my school, it was like one big family. Then after my school got shut my parents transfer me too a big rich people catholic school. Man it suck big balls there, People were so rude to each over there. I played football as starting center and won a bunch a awards so no one mess with me. but i hated how people pick on each other there. i stay out everyone way there i went to school and play football and went home. i stayed friends from people from my old school mainly and still friends with them.
