Ooh, my first topic, how exciting!

Lately I've been day dreaming about a world like SAO... A real life version of SAO, if you will. Sometimes I think it would be a fun experience, a new world, a beautiful new start! In real life, how many people do fun things for money?

If you haven't watched SAO, Sword Art Online, I highly recommend it. Many people say it's not good, it was written poorly or is just downright terrible, but I don't think so. It's very popular btw.

If you haven't got a clue what I'm talking about, I'll explain it here. In the anime Sword Art Online, 10,000 gamers become trapped in a virtual-reality MMO.

Do any of you wish that you could be in a situation like the characters in SAO, or would you rather just play a VRMMO like it should, OR would you NEVER play a VRMMO should it become available?

I can't be the only one who literally WANTS to be a part of something like this.

Not sure if I'd enjoy putting my life on the line, on the other hand I would like to transcend past time and be in the futuristic world that SAO was created in, so I can play some of those VRMMORPG's

Plot: decent
Characters: pretty generic (well maybe except for a few)
Overall: Fine? Just above average?

I'd have it as a secondary game to my current MMO since thats my home away from home.

I think it would be fun. Knowing my parents if I were trapped they would pull off my headset anyway, so im pritty sure I would die.

Would help ease a lot of long-distance relationships, eh. Rofl.

what MMOs do you play? I've been looking for a new one to play for a while, but I've still yet to find one that I can get really absorbed in.

Any MMO will probably give you the same experience though a bit of it does rely on the imagination and you'll always have to come back to reality in the end. Not sure how I'd feel about some kind of brain scanning, motor function stopping device being put on my head but the idea of the game itself is pretty interesting.

Series-wise.... It was good. I thought the first half had a good balance of action and story while the second half kind of lost that balance but had some pretty good fights to cover for it. Though the first half had more random stuff going on so that was kind of meh. It probably went too heavy on the low and emo moments that most 24+ episode animes tend to have around episodes 17-22 which probably ruined a good part of my experience since there weren't as many cool moments or where the character, not the story, was moving forward. I'm thinking about rewatching it but I'll probably put it off for a year or so. Some really nice shows are out and are hitting the right spots in my anime cravings right now.
