Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right thing?

I'm more worried about doing things right. What would it matter if you're doing the right thing, but you're doing it the wrong way... Anyway, I do the wrong thing all the time so that's a problem but at least I do it right ^_^

I don't know anything about doing things right or doing the right thing. as with my profession I am taught to find loopholes and altercations to achieve a goal..... don't look at me like I'm being dishonest in anyway... but in order to reach my goals with my clients I usually have to take a route that involves something along the lines of "not so great" or " out-side-of-the-box" thinking mentality.

I'm more concerned with doing the right thing. Even if I completely botch it, I still made an attempt; I can live with trying and failing rather than not trying at all.

Not very creative there, aren't you? Use your imagination to come up with the answer.

The answer, I think, is obvious- we should endeavour not to do things right, but to do the right things- that is, instead of being functional automatons, scarcely worth being called humans, we should try and behave morally. It doesn't matter if you do something correctly, that the machines are well oiled and in full working order, if that machine is working for the wrong reasons, then your labouring to 'do things right' is no longer 'doing things right', rather, it is correctly prepetuating a wrong.

I'm confused by the question.

Is it in the sense like....

Doing something the right way: Killing someone correctly and disposing of the body so you're not caught.

Doing the right thing: NOT killing somebody

?????

Both. Since I'm sometimes a perfectionist with my work, I worry constantly if my work looks excellent.
I worry everyday if I'm doing the right thing as well, even more since I'm a Christian.
