I'm really starting to get bothered by the fact that a ton of anime never gets finished. Alot of animes dosn't get pass season one.

Alot of the animes that dosn't get finished seems to be based on Light Novels, or maybe of the manga based of the light novels.

I know it's because it's not profitable to make a season two if season one dosn't sell, but it's still getting pretty goddamn annoying. Feels like an insult against the viewers.

Unfortunately the nature of the beast. If they aren't getting ratings that means no one in Japan is really missing it anyway. Shame for us that like the series. Another reason though that some series don't get continued is because the company itself is no longer producing stuff, are bankrupt or their license only covered a certain amount of material and the mangaka did not want more done (could be a number of issues for that).

Yeah I don't love how most anime goes unfinished. I've had to learn to like manga and Light Novels just so that I can finish up incomplete story lines. That's worked out pretty well for me. Although if I run into an anime that has no source material that's translated it can be a little unfortunate...

Been thinking of buying a tablet computer just so i can read manga/light novels online somewhere else than infront of my computer. So at the moment i'm just jumping from one anime to the another haha.

I get a lot of Light Novels in PDF format which I can view on my nook. It's nice because I'm finally making use of that stupid thing.

Sometimes, it's because the source materials are still ongoing and they don't have enough materials to continue.

Often, it all boils down to financing. For a series to be green-lit and made, you'll need investors. As an investor, would you finance a 2nd series for something that hasn't done very well or would you look for something more promising? I'm sure majority of the people will choose the latter.

I really wish they continued with claymore the way the manga was done.

Don't get me started on Air Gear.

The Behemoth arc alone proved that 25 episodes wasn't enough. If you're an Air Gear mark, stick to the manga.

It's a shame really.

Seems nowadays an anime is doomed unless it can get a rise out of the audience's crotch.

It becomes a bummer when you think the anime is good, then you check weekly to find out there isnt more episodes coming out.

The only anime that really was a certified 'pimp slap' in the face to me was Skip Beat. I mean, it felt like they didn't even finish the episode let alone the entire series. But I always check to see if an anime series has at least finished a season before I check it out. I can deal with a anime creator at least finishing off the season right. DANG YOU SKIP BEAT!!!!

I think ruroni kenshin is a bit of a 'pimp slap', too. the reason the anime was canceled was because of poor ratings caused by filler arcs. the series is still really popular, though. they really should do a reboot, especially since they won't have to deal with the filler issues anymore.
