Alright white knight (rhymes), how do you plan on teaching the "boys" how to behave and not condone their "despicable" behavior?

Now I agree that in an ideal world, a woman shouldn't be harassed simply by listing herself a female. But if a woman intentionally brings attention to herself by posting risque photos, or records a YouTube video of herself acting like an idiot, is it really that hard for her to comprehend that such actions has consequences? Especially on the internet?

The internet can be a rough place of anonymity, and everyone is at risk, not just women. Kids, elderly, men, everyone. Whether it's being harassed verbally, or getting exploited sexually, financially, etc. everyone is at risk.

Whatever you do, SOME men on the internet will act boorish towards women, and SOME (like yourself) will put them on a pedestal and treat them like princesses. It's a bell curve. Most men will actually be somewhere in-between. It's human nature that some men make it a big deal when a woman enters a scene. Biases exist, and they extend onto the internet.

Same with women labeling guys on the internet as creeps if they get too chatty with them, or assuming a guy is an uneducated meathead just because of his display picture and the fact that he doesn't type properly.

The fact is, we all have the choice and free will to LEAVE a particular forum on an internet if it bothers us, or simply not use the internet whatsoever.

yes i did, i happen to be female also, i have not had any problems with "not being able to be female" on crunchyroll, if you dislike the person that is making you uncomfortable then why do you communicate with them? it's your own choice of communication so its also your own choice of having to be cautious

There's a huge difference between someone being obnoxious towards you and ignoring/blocking that person compared to someone harassing someone.
I've seen the horrible things people say to women online, absolutely disgusting threats and mistreatment. And while it's true, this harassment happens to men as well, it's far more common for a woman to be immediately misjudged compared to man.
Both forms of harassment need to stop. It's not just a matter of ignoring people, it's a matter of teaching people how to be kind and respectful to others instead of just brushing it off as "oh, it's the internet" or "oh, that's just how people act!" and so forth.

I understand where you are coming from, but it is not that much different than blaming a woman for a sexual assault because she wore skimpy clothing, danced in a provocative manner, drank too much, etc. Yes, you can blame it on girls, but it is not entirely their fault. We can easily prevent the perverts from harassing them in order for girls to enjoy the same amount of freedom that guys do.

Of course they do! You wouldn't believe how much those baby chickens love anime. Who would've guessed they'd manage to figure out how to get on CR, though?

the number one thing to remember is to not fear them, they can smell fear, you probably don't want to put an attractive profile pic up because then they will sexually provoke and harass you, you might also want to complain excessively on forums
