i only watch multiple episodes if they are still running so for example i the latest episodes of Shippuden & One Piece while continuing a marathon of FMA:Brotherhood. I'm like you, if i watch too many series at once my brain starts combining the stories so that when i come back to watching them i get very confused

I used to watch one series at a time, but it got a little boring. Unless it's a show that can totally captivate my attention, which is hard to do, then I need some variety. Sometimes it gets boring watching just action anime, sometimes it gets boring just watching romance anime, etc etc so I watch a whole bunch to keep myself satisfied. Usually I watch a whole bunch and the ones I really like become the forerunners while the others drop down to the backburner. It's not too hard to do, especially when you're watching a series weekly. Maybe it's just because I'm used to it? Not sure, but now I keep up with all the new shows, see which ones I like, drop the ones I don't, and pick my forerunners. It could also be because 95% of my brain is full of anime lol

More often than not, I'll rewatch the previous week's episode before I start the new one. Sometimes as a refresher or sometimes because I really enjoy the series (Kotoura-san & Blast of Tempest to name two).

Okay, i definitely agree with this! Like it's completely possible for me to get myself to stay updated on a show that only comes around weekly while marathoning another show. But what would make me go crazy is marathoning multiple shows.

Easier to concentrate on one series for me at a time.

To how they can do it, I say time and they are used to it.

Finally someone who gets me! Lol

I couldn't just watch one series at a time, it would take forever to watch the anime I want. So I watch multiple series at once, like TheAncientOne said it gives you a variety.

I’d rather it take forever to watch one show then breeze through all of them and have nothing left to watch. I mean, there’s only so much good anime out there to watch.

Okay, so I've been looking at the 'Anime You've Watched Today' thread or whatever it's called and I've noticed some people watch multiple episodes of multiples shows in the same day. To me I can't do that, I've gotta go with one show at a time or I feel like I'll just get all the stories mixed up or something. So does anybody else feel the same as me? And for the people who watch all these shows at one time, how do you frickin do it?!?! lol

One moment... (copy here, and paste... Here!)

You'll notice some of these are series that are "Done" I just have high hopes that the series will spontainiusly continue, but some series that hope has burned out, I tagged such anime as, FIN

I watch a few anime on the go but I find now and again, a single anime is awesome or so gripping, I have to watch it from start to last, like SAO.

The maximum I did was at least 15 animes, one ep a week each. So 15 throughout the week, most of them caught up in 2-3 days. I found it annoying to wait that long for them. Yes it adds suspense and grips you for the next ep. Yet it can also put you off an anime because of waiting for the next ep.

If it wasn't for crunchyroll, with several eps up, I'd have given up on From the new world, which I love and still enjoy even waiting ages for the next ep.

It's down to the viewer's balance, some prefer 1 story and multiple eps while vice versa for others.
Sometimes I rewatch a season or 2 just to refresh my memory of what I'm currently watching or to break up the marathon. Cos marathons are great but diversity ensures nothing is ever stale.

I can't remember the last time I watched on series at a time. I've been watching multiple series for a long time and prefer it that way.

I start up many series and once I get close to the end of many I drop it unless it's just too good not to finish. I hate the feeling of finishing a show and that's it there is nothing left for me to go back to.

It depends which ones I'm watching. Sometimes I'd devote all my time to one that I love (For example, in the cases of SAO and Blast of Tempest), others I'd watch more than one (today, I watched Inu X Boku SS, Shugo Chara!, and the World God Only Knows).

I really love all of them but it's nice to watch a few in a day.

Got 28 shows on my watchlist right now, good thing is they're nicely spaced out with their ep releases

Before I joined CR I would only watch one show at a time either on Netflix or Funi dubs on iTunes. When I joined Cr i developed a habit of watching multiple shows at at time. I thought it would get confusing but it hasn't, though I think there would be a number where it would get confusing. I have 7 in my queue right now.

Yeah i watch multiple shows at a time which can be a bit bothersome. Because of the amount of sim cast that you can watch it doesn't give me much time to watch completed shows from previous years. i'v still got to watch Welcome To The N.H.K which i'v had lying on my shelf for well over a year now. along with the other 30+ shows

I have a hard time staying focused when I'm not watching multiple shows at a time, anime or otherwise. I always seem to understand a show, too. Though, before MAL I used to forget animes I was watching and just dropped them, haha.
I almost always have around 20 or so shows on my "watching" list.
