I currently have 18 shows on my "Watching" list on MAL/My Anime List. Best thing is, almost all of those shows airs from Thursday to Sunday. So let's just say i don't do much besides watching anime at the end of the week.

Honestly? It's because I feel even worse when I finish something. I've been burned by weak endings before leaving a wholly unsatisfying conclusion as the last thing I remember about an anime. It's mainly with short anime series I do this, where there is a good chance everything important will be slammed into the last one or two episodes.

If I really am enjoying a show I finish it regardless but if it is good but if it's not "edge of my seat, must watch the next episode" good, I can safely drop it and move on to a new anime while still having a fond memory of the show I never finished.

I understand where you're coming from. I don't know if you've ever seen Skip Beat but that is an example of a ending I wished I would've skipped. It really just disgusted me how bad off they left things. I mean, regardless of not even concluding the series at least conclude an episode. But still I could never not watch the ending haha that would drive me crazy. I definitely see what you mean though. (The original Fullmetal Alchemist ending is another example of an anime ending I wish I wouldn't have seen. However, Brotherhood definitely solved the problem for me. )

I use to only watch 2 animes at a time but I'm starting to change it up a little this year. Before I would have whatever anime I wanted to marathon that week + Fairy Tail and now I have 3-4 I'm watching at the same time. I know its not much of a difference but one day I'll get to 6+ at a time!

I think I'm gonna start trying to train myself to watch multiple shows now too lol. After reading the argument "It's like watching different shows on tv" somebody posted it finally clicked that maybe I can do it too. But it'll probably be one at a time for me for a while since college is taking more and more of my time.

I don't know if there are others like me but for watching multiple series the same day is better because that way I don't get tired of watching the same show all day having said there are exceptions to this because there are show that you can watch all day without getting bore.

I'm more of a binge-on-one-show guy, so I can sort of relate to the OP. I'll usually only be watching one 'seriously' at a time. Watching anime as it's airing is pretty much the only exception I make, 'cause there's no way in hell I'm watching one episode of anime a week. I keep up with whatever I like in the current season, but mostly I watch completed anime in marathons, one at a time. Since I've only been this into it since fairly recently, there's still plenty out there for me to absorb before I run out of quality titles and have to satisfy myself on following the current ones only.

I feel that I need to watch only one at a time so I won't get lost between the different stories and characters. Plus I usually get caught up in the story so I feel the need to finish it before moving on. I have 17 lined up in my Xbox queue and have finished 7 series in four days so far.

I usually keep it down to two series that I have not seen on top of the weekly season of what I am watching. So weekly, AoT, Teekyu, The Eccentric Family. Then in the time in between I fill it with shows I missed or didn't pick up the first time around like Angel Beats, Samurai Bride, Squid Girl.

I watch several new shows every new season and continue to watch all the longer ongoing shows as well. Depending on how many shows in a season that I like, it can range anywhere from 3 or more. I'm currently watching 15. Some I watch as soon as they are released like Free!, Attack on Titan, and other favorites. The rest I marathon on the weekends. I've been watching anime for so long I've pretty much seen all the old stuff I wanted to see, but I do tend to pick up a title I missed and marathon thru it in a day. The latest was Tsuritama. I hear Rainbow is an Excellent anime, so I might marathon that next on top of what I'm currently watching.

I usually have multiple tabs opened at once and stop in the middle of shows to do other crap, often at the same time. So it's no surprise that I will definitely watch different shows in a day depending on my mood at that time (sometimes a show feels too light-hearted or episodic or dark for my current state). I blame my short attention span but I mean, if I am really invested in a show I will watch it non-stop and pretty much stop all other tasks, kind of like how when I'm drawing I get absorbed into a concentrated trance and realize it's been an hour or something.

I don't watch shows until they are completed(with the exception of Naruto) so once they are complete I focus on finishing one show at a time in a sitting or 2 depending on the length. If, however, I did watch shows while they are incomplete I would probably watch more than one because otherwise that would be only 1 episode a week of anime

I watch 20-30 simulcasts and rewatch more at the same time, over 40 shows total at the moment! No problem at all!
