If any of the guys here are like me, or were like me when you were younger, you probably disliked cleaning your room!

Story time!

Last night at around 5:20 AM I was lying in bed with a fierce headache and I felt sick. I threw up all over myself and the bed and it was ruined! (Funny it comes the day before I go back to school after pleurisy!)

So, my dad cleaned my bed, sheets, clothes, etc. "What has this got to do with your room, Lunza?" Answer: Later on, at around 4 pm, my mam went into my room and started cleaning it, where she found everything (empty bottles, cans, sweet wrappers) etc. hidden in my wardrobe, under my desk, anywhere else you would hide things, you get the picture.

Literally (Also, I know it's upside down, but for some reason my PC won't let me rotate it :'( )

Now I'm in a lot of trouble (because there was alcohol >.<)

Have any of you guys been in this situation before?
If you have, share your story!

When I was 15... my mum found my gay porn magazine... it wasn't full on porn, but... there were two semi naked boys holding each other etc.

But I didn't really care. I'm not the type to get embarrassed about who I am.

At the moment, my yaoi mangas are lying everywhere in the open.

I've been in trouble for not cleaning my room before, mainly because my mother is extremely OCD and insists that every nook and cranny of the house must be 'clean' for guests.

I've definitely also been in trouble for having old-ish food in my room before. I kept a sealed (though nearly empty) jar of peanut butter by my bed once, and that pissed my parents off because they said it'd attract lots of bugs. However, I've never really had trouble with any of my personal stuff (my bitchy, swear filled, and hateful diary) being snatched up, luckily. That happened once, and I didn't allow it to happen again.

For a girl, I'm pretty slobby. I kind of inherit it from my father, who was pretty disorganized as a teenager/college kid.

I think the last time someone cleaned my room for me was when I was 7, so no, not really. My room is small, and I don't spend much time in there, so generally it's easy to keep tidy.

I don't even understand how this happened to you. Like, why do you find it easier to hide stuff rather than just putting it in the bin? lol.

I have an organized chaos in my room. I know where everything is at right now. If i move it i wont find it again when i want it.
But the only reason im gonna be cleaning my room today is because i need a bookshelf for my manga, and i have no where to put one.

If you haven't the discipline to clean your own living space, you suck.

Why should I clean my room when it's going to get dirty again?

Perfect logic I used.

Nobody cleans my room for me no matter how long I let it sit so this kind of thing isn't an issue for me. I also hate cleaning my room and do it very rarely. I keep a trash pile in one corner where all paper and boxes get thrown. Any food items gets thrown away properly right after I am finished with it. When the day comes I decide that I need to clean up, typically once a month, I grab up all the trash and take it to the recycling center vacuum and dust etc. It's no big deal but I also don't have anything hidden anyway.

I've been fighting a losing battle ever since my brother left al his stuff behind a few years back, everytime I try to organise somthing stops me from being able to have the space needed to organise all his junk left behind and just have my stuff.

The newist was "Theirs been work on the house so you'll need to find space in your room for furnisture from downstairs". This happened not even 24 hours after accumulating boxes for a good tidy up and throw out.

Can't even get to my manga bookcase right now >.< Although at least I'll finaly have space to store everything once it's done.

Oh, and the reason I refer to this with tidying, I had to share a room with him and he was a damnable hoarder, so I'm still fighting with stuff all this time later.

Sometimes I feel I won't have a tidy space untill I save enough to get my own place...
