Neru pounces on a nearby soul, licking her lips, stomach growling like a wild animal. She opens her mouth, a line of saliva between her upper and lower lip forms because her mouth is watering. She breathes in. The screaming ghost infront of her begins to break apart into a being similar to fog, and moves towards Neru's mouth. Neru breathes it in, devouring every last piece until nothing is left over.
Her stomach growls again, this time quieter than before. She continues to devour her victims until 5 are gone and the growling subsides.
Tempa can see, because her shirt is off, that Neru's stomach wound is practically healing itself.
"Unlike other shinigamis, eating souls is what keeps me immortal. I guess you humans would consider something like this as a, uh... What's the word, birth defect? Sadly, my clan's treatment for these "illnesses" are not as humane as your's would be..." She says, snickering slightly.
"They took my eyes."
