Death Note. I thought the cast did a great job. Brad Swaile did an amazing job as Light.

Cowboy Bebop, first and foremost. But I also really enjoyed the dubs for Ranma 1/2 and the original Oh! My Goddess OVA. I absolutely love Belldandy''s VA. I like a lot of the early 90's dubs, more so because of nostalgia than them actually being good though. At the time, dubs were what was available, so that was the first version I saw. Of course, once I saw the original, well, there's no one who can replace Megumi Hayashibara in an anime and she was in quite a few anime in the early 90's.

I thought Kenshin TV was well done in English. Fatal Fury was terrible in places with the Japanese, while on the flip side Lost Universe was terrible in English at times. I thought Slayers, Lodoss, and El Hazard were nicely done in English as well, but that could be nostalgia talking as those were some of the first shows I watched.

Mostly I prefer English for 'background' anime while I'm doing other things, but if I'm focused on watching, it really depends on the cast and director. For the most part, I can watch and enjoy either way.

I have to say Code Geass, Angel Beats (Yurippe's voice is sxy), and Spice and Wolf have great dubs. I don't watch dubbed anymore, due to necessity since not every anime has a dub (like Hyōka) but those i will forever prefer the dub. Fruits Basket dub wasn't bad either but those are my no-exceptions.

Welcome To The NHK.
The original sounds uninspired and weak, but somehow Funimation did an amazing job with it.

Samurai Champloo
Kenshin
&
Hellsing. They are pretty much the best dubbed I've ever seen.

Especially Hellsing, since it took place in a western background, it make sense for them to be speaking in native English.

Queen's Blade oddly enough sounded a hell lot better to me.

Btw, WHAT ABOUT FAN DUBS? I've found some amazing ones.

I only watch subbed if there's no dub available (Only two of my anime DVDs are sub-only: Otaku No Video and Tokyo Godfathers. I watch the rest dubbed, and a few of them only have English audio.

The last Macekre I watched: Rave Master, and that was only on Syfy. Before that, the holy '90s triangle and bits of the 4Piece Screwjob were the only members of that club.

Holy shit, loved ghost in the shell english dub. Mikotos VA sounds just right and there's so much info so quickly in the sub its hard for even a veteran like me to keep up with. Second on the DBZ dub just cos its what i grew up with.

Whatever voices I hear first is what I prefer.
After watching one episode in either Japanese or English, that's what I want to hear all episodes in because I have already associated a voice with a character.

Generally speaking I think the Japanese voice actors are better because since anime is more popular in Japan the studio can afford better voice talent. I do find watching English dubs nice as I can take my eyes off the screen for a second and not miss what's going on in the show.

tl;dr: El Hazard

I prefer Subs in most cases. I won't say that there's too many where the Dub is actually better than the Sub... Once exception to this is the old TV series, El Hazard. I bought both versions back in the day on VHS, and watched the English one, and loved it. Watched the Subtitled one, and was disappointed. It was BORING. I think some jokes were written into the English version... Also, Jinnai's voice is the best in the show. He can't pronounce Japanese names for ANYthing, but his voice his HI-freakin'-larious.

Don't get me wrong. there's plenty of good dubs. But there's very few where I thought the dub was better than the Sub...
