One of his teammates pointed out that he really liked attention. I think he must have known it was fake, but he went along with it because he was getting talked about.

Okay, for everyone who thinks they're badasses by just stating in their post "who cares" then can you please if possible not even post in here if you don't care. Go watch a news station or read a scientific article since this is such an apparent waste of time tht you actually have time to post in this thread. As for me personally, this isn't the biggest and most important topic of the year. However, I'm a big college sports fan. I watch ESPN daily because I like hearing sporting news. I even watch the Heisman award show every year. I even felt some respect towards Teo for playing so hard after his grandmother and 'supposed' girlfriend died. So when I heard that this was all a big hoax and this scum bag lied about someone actually dying and to go even further cancer, it's a pretty sad and pathetic thing to do. If he was just some normal player all of this wouldn't have gotten as much coverage. But he wasn't due to his 'story' earning him a lot of heisman votes that ,without the lie, he wouldn't have deserved whatsoever. He is a good player but as shown in the national championship game he can't hold his own to nfl caliber players. Plus, from having many family members pass away to cancer this hoax in my eyes is even worse. Cancer and death are two very sad things that he lied about just to get attention. If it was for heisman voting or whatever I don't know. But it certainly worked in his favor until he got caught.

If he didn't want the attention, he would have never claimed that this fake person was his girlfriend. I don't see how you can view him as a victim.

Done a little bit of looking around and I have to say that this is a bit odd to be a hoax. I mean to mobilize all of these people is just odd. I don't know, it just seems like too much effort to put into trolling.
