A MOTH MAKING ITS GRAND ESCAPE OUT OF MY WALLET!
Posted 2/1/13
Cash, driver's license, vehicle insurance card, library card, Barnes and Noble card, two debit cards, small game/fishing combo license, spare truck key, shopping rewards card. There will eventually be a concealed carry permit in there. I have about a month to wait on that.

Lightweights. Let me show you a *real* wallet!

$116

A card Army recruiters gave out in high school with "Army Values" and "Soldier's Code" on them. I have no connection to the Army, but it has come in handy for scraping condensation or frost off windows and that sort of thing. It appears it is finally starting to fall apart.
Also from the Army, the business card of a recruiter I spoke with in college.

A card with emergency contacts listed on it, hidden safely behind:
A driver's license.
A vehicle registration.
3 insurance cards.
A membership to use the swimming pool at my apartments, valid for 2011... time to throw that out, never used it anyway.
A radio frequency protective sleeve for a NY driver's license that allowed travel into/from Canada. No longer have the license since I moved to a different, shittier state and had to turn it in.
Yeah, nobody's gonna see those emergency contacts.

A used gamecard for Eve Online. I hope to one day sell it to some unsuspecting Eve player, I think CCP would approve.
2 expired insurance cards.
A business card for the company my mother works at.
My social security card.
A Subway card.
2 Barnes & Nobles gift cards that, if they can expire, most likely have.
An expired credit/debit card.
A current credit/debit card.
A an expired library card.
2 student IDs from college.
A Blockbuster card.
A library card to another college.
A business card to a law firm a relative used to work at, and another to the one he now works at.
A business card to a newspaper I used to work for.
A Best Buy gift card
A business card for my current employer
An expired AAA card
2 business cards to the same hair salon, though I should probably throw them both away since they can never cut my hair even on the sides. Think I'll just start shaving it short myself if I can just find a good razor.
A business card for my landlord
A business card for a dentist's office.
A business card for a dermatologist's office
A business card for a government worker.

A card with information on getting another form of ID for work, because I apparently don't carry enough ID with me.

Items that *were* in my wallet until I went through it creating this list and disposed of them:
6 atm receipts listing withdrawal and balance amounts.
9 receipts for 6 local restaurants .
A note with information on getting a registration duplicate from the local Motor Vehicle Commission.
A receipt from the local Motor Vehicle Commission.
A receipt from NAPA.

My wallet is the kind of thing detectives, identity thieves or hackers have wet dreams about.
It's also really uncomfortable to sit on. I should probably do something about it...
