I really would encourage all of you that carry around your SS card on a regular basis to take it out of your wallet or purse and leave it at home. Yes, if you're wallet or purse is stolen, you can get a replacement SS card... but you run a MUCH higher risk of identity theft. Keep it in a safe place at home and only take it out when you absolutely need it. ((just my suggestion on the matter.))

You're absolutely right. I think it's much safer to memorize it instead of carrying it around (that's like carrying your credit card with your pin number on a piece of paper in the same wallet).

Besides that, I have a small amount of money that I keep for certain occasions (like eating out), and my ID of course.

SS card means Social Security Card. We use that in the United States for terms of identification, citizenship, and a whole bunch of other things along with our BC.

Social Security Card. (It the US's way of keeping tabs on us and taking our hard earned moneys that we will probably never actually see at retirement (if you're under the age of about 35)).

I would carry my SD card in my wallet.. but I would sit on it and break it... those small things break easy
