It had the action, suspense, war, random awkward moments, love-y moments/broken hearts, betrayal, lying, secret identities, and did I mention action/suspense? and the end that made you cry a river... And then the amazingness of the series ended, which made it even more depressing. ugh. Thinking about it depresses me. It was an emotional rollercoaster that I could watch over and over and still love. :) I laughed when he died at the end. Sort of like this... pick whichever version you like the most out :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWAmoUYRNbg |

Yeah, then I wrote in my diary about how hilarious the ending was. I used a really flashy and exaggerated overly dramatic form of writing too, it was justice. |

Of course, Key's products are the best for this discussion- but, for anime that I'm sad are over...

I mean to say Phantom Requiem . I was hoping their end was not that way .
And yes Kenshin REflection. Damm I didnt want to see Kenshin to end up that way . That one affected me the most to the point that I didnt want to see another Rorouni Kenshin movie or series ever again. . |

I usually don't get to many feels, but Angel Beats hit the spot and a good Gintama arc can pull the man feels out of me.

Grave of the Fireflies is the only anime in this forum that I can agree with. Very depressing if you have kids or family members around that age. Almost everything else is just sad, not depressing.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide He died at the beginning of the movie, and his sister's fate was already known. You know that she was going to die, and you are left to witness the slow decline in her health as he tries desperately to take care of her. The author says that the book is based on his WWII experience, and he wrote it as an apology to his sister who died of malnutrition. |

Yes I was very said that Lucky Star and Toradora ended....even though Toradora did get an OVA but from what I heard did not expand on the ending. Never saw Seitokai but after googling it, looks interesting. |

I thought Phantom Requiem's ending was a happy one in fact, all the Phantoms found freedom in the end. The end to a long and bloodstained journey. Doesn't make it any less depressing, though. |

That was a hybrid of happy and sad. No freedom can be found in death/suicide. |
