Anime that I was sad because they ended were: 1) Broken Blade ( I was mostly sad because I wanted to hear more of the music) 2) Guilty Crown 3) The Legend of the Legendary Heroes 4) Natsume Yujin-cho 5) Phi Brain (I'm sooooo psyched for season 3 whenever it comes out) 6) Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas Anime that made me sad at the end: 1) Chrono Crusade 2) Petite Princess Yucie (aka Puchi Puri Yucie) 3) Romeo X Juliet 4) Shounen Onmyouji Broken Blade actually made me kinda sad. The Queen was just so sad and cute. It got me right in the feels when Spoiler Alert! Now and Then, Here and There
Air Puella Magi Madoka Magica Revolutionary Girl Utena - the ending Princess Tutu Naruto - some scenes from the first anime And School Days, but my tears were from laughter at how fucked up and horrible the show was. Funnily, Clannad A.S didn't make me cry a bit. I hate Clannad, but A.S was much better - but I still don't like Nagisa ugh. |

SO glad to see someone else who knows this heartbreaking masterpiece! What a series man, what a series. Quite possibly the only anime on here that is truly a tragic and tear worthy. |

There is a difference between tearful sadness and just plain depressing. This show was designed to suck the life out of people. |

Welcome to the NHK. It showcases the life of a recluse and in many ways is a huge reflection of my own life.

H20: FootPrints In The Sand
Almost brought me to tears. I've got to say that I never expected an anime to have such a screwed up ending like this one did. CAUTION: Full reason spoils the anime so unless you've seen or just don't care, do no read my reason. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Why the saddest? The main characters mom died trying to save a child that was about to be ran over by a train. Later the boy meets a girl of a disgraceful family. Because the village did not want the main character to date this girl they told him that her family killed her mom. The main character goes into a coma and eventually wakes up, but still is delusional. The doctor said if he is brought back to Tokyo (where his mom died) he would have a chance to recover and come back to reality. On the way there with the girl there is a train about to pass by. Before the train passes by she gives the main character a motivating speech. As this is happening a little boy loses his ball and it rolls on the train track while the train is almost there. The main character is just a little late coming back to reality after the speech because right after the girl gives the speech she notices the boy and tries to save him, but gets hit by the train and dies just like the main characters mom. The main character comes back to reality just in time to see it happen... |
