Really? It should be obvious. It's those innate fears you speak so much about, yet you failed to acknowledge it?
No, I don't acknowledge them because they don't exist in my psyche. I do not have any innate fears, therefore I do not fear death.
Like I said, it's our basic instincts to protect ourselves for fear of injury or death. We fear death because we don't understand it. We fear the unknown. But seems you've overcome the fear of the unknown and you're own mortality, or are you so presumptuous as to believe you understand death as well?
We do not need these instincts, they are unnecessary and should not exist. Yes, it is common to fear the unknown, but you can overcome that fear if you train your mind to do so, as I have done. This does not mean that I understand death, but I do not fear it because I do not fear the unknown.
Have you ever loved? Have you ever loved and lost? Have you ever lost a child? I assume due to your age you have not. You cannot begin to understand all fear because you do not understand all emotions in their entirety of depth. To love a being of yourself so much - pretty much instinctual to most parents, that you fear for their safety in the presence of danger. While you may not fear things directly for yourself - though I doubt you've ever had to experience much real fear, true fear such as someone burning your insides with a cattle prod, watching a child killed in front of you, picking up the guts of your best friend and holding them in after an RPG just blew them out. Fear for oneself can be conquered through indifference, through anger, through a variety of other emotions that you say are caused by fear, yet fear for another - can only be cured by apathy.
