You don't dress like the pope?

Well if you're in the north pole, totally under dressed. And if somewhere in equator then over dressed, as simple as that. *No sarcasm intended.*

It is better to overdress. Like others have said, you can dress nicely and still pull off a casual look if you do in fact overdress, however you obviously can't do the inverse.

Overdress. You can easily make an excuse, like you need to go directly to a wedding after said event. If your under dressed than it just looks bad and people tend to remember the negative longer.

overdressed. imagine going to a party wearing a ball gown, when everyone's wearing cocktail dresses. people would be talking about you, because your clothes are too attention-grabbing

at least when you're under dressed, you wont catch much attention...

I'd just try to look nice. If people are underdressed compared to how I look, it's not an embarrassment or anything, it's just how I think what
was necessary to wear. it happens.

I'd think overdressed is difficult to forget. In your situation, however, you went the extra mile and stood out, which I feel is a good thing.

What is overdressed? Everyone should be FABULOUS looking all the time!
Or naked.

Just sayin.

Honestly. I wouldn't care what people think. Cause this often happens to me and what I would think is nothing but confidence and self centered ness thoughts which goes along the lines of, I loook fucking good in this. You can go ahead and stare, probably wondering where I got this at huh? Or yeah lol. Just be confident about what you have on under or over dressed. Just look your best to what you think is under or over..

You shouldn't worry whether you looked out of place in that situation nor care what others truly think about your outfit.. A pantsuit is fine in casual or formal events in my opinion and you should focus on if the outfit makes you happy, not others.

I wouldn't mind either to be honest, it will all depend on what I feel like wearing.
