It is way better to be over dressed than under dressed. This is from personal experience. First time, i was under dressed i didnt care. I was in orientation at mandalay bay to be a lifeguard. I figured they were lucky i was even wearing a shirt. The second time was crazy uncomfortable. It was for a friend's dinner. We had a dress rehearsal for his wedding. Afterwards there was a huge get together at a restaurant. I asked the groom if i should go home and change or just go as is. As is was me wearing board shorts, sandals, and a bj penn shirt. The gist to what he said was to not worry about it, and i didn't. However when i got there i was the only douche wearing casual clothes. Everyone else was dressing for the apparently fancy evening ahead. What made it worse was that this was like my brother getting married. His mother was so exited to introduce me to the family so i couldnt just sit back and pretend i wandered into the wrong part of the restaurant. I had freaking social obligations.
