I've split my head open (fell on a garden gnome when I was 2 just before my third birthday), had a scissors driven through my leg (I kinda did that myself, on purpose. Oooh temper... Damn it), badly damaged jaw (beaten up), repeatedly torn/strained muscles (through football, not much surprise there) and a broken finger (football again).

Have any of you had any accidents which resulted in a bad injury or long-lasting effects? If so, share.

I want to enjoy your pain!
Muahahahahahaha!

I have a scar on my hand where I made up my version of russian roulette in my history lesson, It was something to do with choosing 8 letters and the one with the biggest score out of 3 turns had to be stabbed in the hand with a pen on the blunt side but my i moved my hand off the table so it cut pretty deep several times and I didn't clean it till after school... that's a scar I like cuz of the story though.

Well, I've never broken any bones.
The only thing that has being really detrimental to my health was back when I was 14 and decided it would be a good idea to spend an entire day out in the hot Florida sun with no sun screen on. The couple of weeks following were not pleasant because of the sun poisoning.

Aye, I unfortunately know that feel! Damn you sun!

Maybe that's why I stay indoors so much now. ;)

Or maybe it's just the anime, ponies and video games available to me.
It's a wonder I'm not fat.

I have splint my head open three times, one on a door handle, not sure how, once on a metal chair frame and ones on a curb. All of these before I was even ten.

I also have a wonky nose from breaking it before I was two.

Never broken a bone in my life. So far.

However, I am very danger-prone. I accidentally cut myself with my own fingernail when I was 9. My mom slammed her car's trunk on my head once. I'm surprised that I wasn't bleeding, but I was dizzy for a while. My straightener fell apart when I used it, and it burned part of my face. There have been many other incidents, too many to state.

Despite that, I have only been in the hospital twice. When I was born and for my knee, but it turned out to be a strain.

My brother broke my right collarbone in two places when I was younger I believe around the 5th grade.

My brother thought it would be a good idea to throw a dart that he had hidden away while I went up to pull the already thrown ones out of the dartboard. He wanted to show how good he was in that he wouldn't hit me. He did. It went through my index finger while it was curled up so it went in and out through one part and then back in and out again through another and into the board.

I had part of the muscle and skin in my shin scooped out with a floor squeegee while I was working for my dad. It wasn't completely scooped out as it still hung down by a little bit of skin. I was told to just put a wet paper towel on it and get back to work so I shoved it back together and did. It has been years and I am only now really starting to get feeling back in that spot and the indentation is barely noticeable.

When I was younger I fell onto my side while I was cleaning my ears with a Q-tip and it ended up going through my eardrum.

While I was sleeping one night a long wooden shelf with coat/hat hooks on it fell down on top of me. Turns out it wasn't such a great idea having it above my bed. The hooks cut open my head and scratched my eye slightly. Being woken up like that was one of the scariest things at the time because I had no idea what was happening. I didn't even move until I felt the blood running down my face.

I was stabbed in the elbow with a 35 degree triangle in school. Didn't really have long lasting effects though so I guess it doesn't count.

Had my finger get caught in a sliding side door of a van that caused it to instantly turn purple and gush blood while I was walking into work. The napkin I wrapped it in didn't help too much so I am pretty sure people got some blood on their stuff while I was working.

I just woke up so I can't think of anymore. I'll edit this if I remember more.

Hmm, Injuries. I have plenty, here's a few to start

- A nail in the foot on four separate occasions
- Grassburn that occupied nearly my whole right forearm
- A bullet wound in my left foot
- Chipped tooth after falling down a flight of stairs
- Akwardly bent toe from a soccer accident
- Permanent crick in my neck after being hit by a car while riding my bike.
- Scars left from blood transfusions after a near fatal encounter with Lead poisoning.
...
I have a high tolerance for pain, or maybe I'm just a masochist.

I take martial arts (ITF TKD) and I work out at the gym a lot. Soreness has made itself into my life exactly like my need for sleep. If i'm not sore, I get irritated from laziness.

Never have a pair of pruners get your thumb. I was lucky to still have mine after getting nipped by a set of those bastards.

My bro almost sliced off my middle finger with a butter knife (my finger still lives in peace with a scar).
I got hooked on my ass.
I slipped and fell off a cliff from a mountain hiking trip with my family and survived with small cuts and bruises.
I jumped over a wired fence and my leg got caught in the wires. I just carelessly slid my leg against this wire sticking out and it dug inside my leg.
I got a paper cut. They hurt even if it's just a small slit.

I get a lot of burns on my hands and feet, I used to work in a kitchen.

Also there was this one time when I was 9 or 10 when I was on a seesaw, my friend was on the other end so it was in balance - then she jumped off not realising my leg was underneath me at that exact moment. I'm probably lucky it didn't break, but I had the mother of all bruises.
Another time I ran into a wall. HUEHUEHUE. My knee was so sore that I wasn't until my friends sat me down inside that I realised ALL my knuckles were bleeding.
