Online	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 2/5/13, edited 2/5/13 I love Japan and I have a lot of Japanese friends, but it seems like as if some people in my family (who are Koreans) seem to despise the Japanese. Of course, I know the reasons behind these emotions, but I was wondering if anyone else has also experienced similar issues? Many of my Korean friends seem to have the same problems, and also the same (vice-versa) for my Japanese friends. It's mostly our elders such as grandmas/grandpas. It's pretty uncomfortable and unsettling, really, knowing that some of my friends' parents/grandparents don't like my race and vice versa. Anyone else experience problems related to this? Oh, and to edit a little more in - similar cases for my Chinese friends.

They are very closely related peoples, so the hate among them does not make very much sense. When they hate each other, they are hating themselves.

Most recently in WWII. The Japanese were pretty brutal in their occupation of foreign lands in WWII and hatred dies out slowly.

Grandparents may think this way but my friends don't, however i can say that they are a very close community and don't like strangers.
