Most overrated anime(s)?

I used to love it as a kid, but nowadays, I can't watch a single episodes without being bored. In ecchi/comedy, I'd say either Kissxsis or To Love-Ru. People always say they're the best of the bunch, but I don't see the appeal at all. Kissxsis is just an incest/yuri fest, and To Love-Ru has slow aniamation and a pretty bad story, though Lala is pretty cute.

Haruhi is overrated as fuck ever since the Endless Eight arc. The Disappearance movie is great and doesn't suffer the mediocrity of the television series.

But the people who love this series really LOVE it. Like me. Hyouka - didn't know there was a lot of buzz around this series. Pretty good series but not a masterpiece. Definitely above average though. Steins; gate - again, opinion. But those who love it LOVE it. My most over ranked: Neon Genesis Evangelion. But I've taken it back recently after hearing different opinions from people who love it. I just think I need to watch the films. Overall though, anime is all opinion. Such as when people on crunchyroll give an anime a perfect 5 stars all across the board and it turns out to be such a mediocre anime. Case in being: Dragon Crisis.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is now more or less a love or hate thing. I, for one, really love it, I could give my reasons why but I'll give someone else a chance first. No anime is a perfect 5 stars (in my opinion of course) because nothing is perfect. Take Evangelion for example, it has numerous flaws but it's still regarded as something groundbreaking.

I know it disagrees with the opinions of many fans, but SAO just seemed so over-rated to me. The story line was different and all but.. I don't know how to explain it. I've watched so much anime and SAO just never hit the spot. Oh, and to add - I think Naruto is VERY overrated NOWADAYS. I emphasize/capitalize "nowadays" because I honestly think Naruto has lost its touch that it used to have long ago. I can't stand watching the episodes anymore because they're so empty, dry, and not funny. I remember watching the original Naruto (before Shippuden) with lots of enthusiasm and never really even got annoyed by the fillers. After they changed the art style in Shippuden, I think Naruto became extremely slow paced, dry, and just.. not Naruto.

Have you watched EVERY SINGLE ONE of the Endless Eight? The other Kyon up there also agrees with me! (The movie is kind of 40% the reason why I believe it is not overrated...)
