Complete economical collapse and then when the government slowly starts to lose control someone drops a nuclear warhead causing WW3, which would cause zombies to come into existance while mankind makes it's final stand in fighting occurs and we start to slaughter each other. weaknd from this fighting the zombies swoop in and finish us off.

i admit that i do fantasize about the zombie apocalypse and me being the badass leader, but i know that it would never happen and if it did i wouldn't last 5 seconds
so how about a universal fissure that tears the sky in two and as fire rains down upon us and time and space begin to implode around us

I don't really want the world to end. But I wouldn't mind a zombie apocalypse if we had to.
But to play along and be creative....
Everyone has exactly 24 hours left to live. There's no way out of it. You can spend the time how you want, but there's a universal challenge to die in the most creative and what the hell way.
